About Me

Gymrat, bookworm, creative, artsy, quantitative, funny, nice, kind, cold, warm. Sometimes I feel like I am always in one of the following states: hungry, sleepy, eating or sleeping. I make A+ martinis, cookies, waffles, Mexican food, BBQ, blackened fish and steaks. I am trying to collect an interesting set of people as Myspace friends. I have only one real world friend also on myspace (Tom). Everyone else was within 25 miles of me and had a black and white photo, an interesting blog or profile or was simply irresistably cute. Myspace is funny because I have started to have feelings of friendship towards people I have never met. Please subscribe to my blog! I crave feedback! I am ALIVE damn it!.. My Interests

Exercise, yoga, painting, movies, dining, travel, shopping, art, antiques. I am blogging here a few times a week. I am trying to write as humorously as possible, it isn't serious in general. I am not celebrity obsessed.

I'd like to meet:

Well, I already met (okay, "saw") Willem Dafoe at the baggage claim in LAX (he's tiny), Diane Keaton at a museum in NYC (she was looking for a book), Dikembe Mutombo at Rouge (hanging out while the 76ers were playing LA in the finals) and Patrick Ewing in a corridor of Dulles. I passed John Street just walking on North Broad. Allan Page (NFL Hall of Fame) shook my hand at a reception, as did Walter Mondale (VP under Jimmy Carter - I am sorry that I have to add that Walter but there are a lot of kids on this site). I've seen Ed Rendell many times. He once told me I didn't need to slide down, he already had enough room to sit. He's very likeable. I spoke with James Heckman, a Nobel Prize winner in economics. So my path has already been star-splashed in a major way! I'm expecting to start getting invited to freaking Oscar parties at this point!!! In the meantime, let's enjoy an impossibly cold martini!!!

Music:

Help me please. I know nothing. Video Codes | Chicago Condos | Minneapolis Real Estate

Movies:

There are a million films that I have really liked, from the big hits like "About Schimdt," "Gladiator," "Pulp Fiction," "Shakespeare in Love," "Deer Hunter," "Scent of a Woman," "Raging Bull," and "The Piano," to smaller releases like like "Wit," "Pieces of April," "A Simple Plan," "Wendigo," "The Squid and the Whale," and "Junebug" to foreign films like "King of Masks," "Not One Less," "Jou Dou," "The Shower," "Tampopo," and "Shall We Dance?."

Television:

My friend broke my tv recently. I went through withdrawl initially but am now used to not having one. (I bought a 32 inch flat screen recently.)

Books:

Right now I am reading "Guns, Germs and Steel" and "Auhtentic Happiness." I just ordered "Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov because a friend in Ukraine told me it was her favorite book. I am interested in reading everything and like books from different cultures. "The Silent Cry" by Oe Kenzaburo is not one to read at a low point in life. Everything by Andre Dubus is so good. "A Prayer for Owen Meany" is my favorite John Irving book. I liked "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan. I recently read: The Kite Runner, History of Love, The Beggar King & the Secret of Happiness.

Mr. Nick Cage, Mariah Carey (former pop singer) & Screech

Nick Cage looks like my high school French teacher Father Friberg. And that's not hot. That said, Father Friberg had a better haircut and I'm guessing his Fruit-of-the-Loom t-shirt and leather jacket...

OMG, one of my friends had the most aggressive, militant halitosis today. It was making me sick in my stomach and he wasn't even near me but we had to be in a car together and talk in the hallway. I t...

I worked so hard today. It's scary, like when you are running downhill and know you have too much speed to control what happens. Olympic downhill skiers know what I am talking about. I hope I don't ne...
