I love to read. My guilty pleasures are reading romance novels--especially historical romance novels since they involve my love of history & romance stories. Hey, don't laugh @ my interests of romance novels. They may not be enlightening me on the philosophy of life or solve mysteries of the world, but they do brighten up life w/ some laugher & fluff. When the world we live is is realistically dealing w/ health woes, economic problems, & strife w/ warefare & death...it's nice to get away from all that for just a moment for some light fun & romance. Besides that, I like to watch Korean, Japanese, & Taiwanese dramas. I used to watch them a lot before, but not so much these past 6 months I finished school & entered the "real world." I also love to watch independent & foreign films (especially from Hong Kong & Korea 'cause they're so wacky & funny). I think it's good to keep your mind open to all views, & to have some insights in different cultures and societies. That leads to my love of traveling. So far I've been to California (particularly San Francisco, L.A., Orange County, San Diego, San Jose, & whatever in between); Vancouver, B.C.; Big Island (Hawaii); Las Vegas, Nevada; & recently...HONG KONG, MACAU, & mainland CHINA (Gongbei, Guangzhou, & Shenzhen). In the future, I would love to travel to London (England), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), & Beijing (China). My ideal trip would be traveling through Europe...starting @ London first then moving on to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, etc.
Hmm..well, anybody who's willing to talk to me I guess. But, I would love to meet Oprah Winfrey one day. I think she's such an intriguing & inspiring person w/ so much openess & knowledge.
So far I'm loving Khalil Fong's music. It's amazing R&B music sung in Mandarin. Jay Chou, JJ Lin, & Tank are also some of my faves. Josh Groban has an amazing operatic voice, and James Blunt has a hauntingly beautiful voice. His music is deep. KT Tunstall & James Morrison is also pretty great. Gwen Stefani makes fun music you can dance to. I also love Utada Hikaru. I listen to Yuna Ito to support my high school classmate & see how far she's gone living out her dream in Japan. & Natasha Bedingfield is fresh & fun.
Pride & Prejudice (the 1995 BBC version), Moment To Remember, Sleepless in Seattle, Sixteen Candles, Bridget Jones's Diary, My Sassy Girl, Chungking Express, JSA, Shiri, The Joy Luck Club, The Wedding Banquet, Eat Drink Man Woman, The Host...
LOL...I watch way too much t.v.--especially Korean dramas (as I've already mentioned a billion times already). Lost is very interesting, but I haven't been able to keep up with the storyline 'cause I'm not home to watch the show when it's airing. I love UGLY BETTY.
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan, One Hundred & One Ways by Mako Yoshikawa, Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding, almost all of Judith McNaught's books, almost all of Elizabeth Thornton's books, & almost all of Kat Martin's books.
My parents because they've been through so much obstacles in their life, and have sacrificed a lot to provide for my siblings and I. Their bravery and courage for freedom is admirable.
