About Me

I understand that people are much more complex than this, but when you break it down, this is what defines me. Plus, it's an easy way to do this, so here:
I'm a pessimist and a cynic, but deep down I'm always hoping for the best. I find it extremely rewarding when I've done something to make someone else happy. My sarcastic personality is an acquired taste, and I think it's very easy for people to write me off as an asshole before they really know me. I think that writing people off as assholes before you really know them is shallow and naive. I'm a firm believer that laughter is the best medicine, and will attempt to make light of any situation...even if it's borderline inappropriate. I'm a push-over, and I will do almost anything to avoid conflict. I find it extremely difficult to trust people until they prove in some way that they are, in fact, trustworthy. Once someone has gained my trust, it is extremely difficult to lose it. I'm scared to take risks. I find it extremely difficult to open myself up to people. Politically, I'm still very much undecided on where I stand. If I could, I'd eat breakfast for every meal. I love dogs, and dogs love me. If I give it a chance, I can pretty much get into any sport...except for golf, which shouldn't be considered a sport anyway. I rarely go a day without watching at least one episode of both Saved By The Bell and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
I believe that you can take something useful away from everything you experience, no matter how that experience turns out. I believe that there is something out there, in both the universe as well as the afterlife, that is bigger than us, probably bigger than our minds can even comprehend.
I believe that, with the simple combination of good friends and good music, you can always, ALWAYS be happy.
I believe that you should take some sort of pride in whatever you do. I believe that there's something very noble about putting your head down, working your ass off, and not complaining. I think that the interstate highway system and the zipper are two of the greatest inventions of all time. I believe that self-confidence is a huge key to whatever you do in life, and I frequently struggle to maintain it. I believe that if you do good things, good things will happen to you. Some people call that karma...I call it common sense. I honestly think that if I could witness the Rangers winning a World Series just once in my lifetime, I'd die a happy man... Even though I think there's a lot of things wrong with this country, I really wouldn't want to live anywhere else, and I still find a great deal of solitude when the National Anthem is performed at sporting events.
I don't know the first thing about true, romantic love, I'm often afraid it will never find me...and that, in turn, scares the hell out of me.
I love contemplating God and life itself. I love going to church on Sundays when I make myself wake up for it. I love my job even though I'm just a lowly intern. I love movies. I love "LOST"...I repeat, I LOVE "LOST" I love reading, and really wish I had time to do more of it. I LOVE MUSIC. I love playing music. I love every single one of the bands I've listed on my profile. I LOVE BASEBALL. I love the Texas Rangers and always will, no matter how much I say they suck. I love Facebook. I love MySpace more. I love laughing. I love making people laugh more. I love food. I love ALL of my friends more than they know. I love my parents more than they know. I love my iPod. I love singing off key along with my music. I love road trips and traveling in general. I love cold weather. I love camping in cold weather. I love sleep. I love the stars. I love cheesecake. I love...===================================================== =======================================================
