About Me

Just returned from Amsterdam and Switzerland with my Cbus boys. Good times.

This is Burning Man. It's not as crazy as it looks unless you're scared of freedom.

My Interests

Reading, writing, pushing boundaries, traveling (lots more to see...sort of), Sunday laziness, laughing hard, Libertarianism, playing sports (football, basketball, golf, cornhole), hot stone massages, the Algonquin Round Table, slippery slopes, philosophy, vibes, total packages, beaches, mountain hiking, Ohio State football.

I'd like to meet:

This is Ron Paul, a presidential candidate. He believes in liberty as his guiding principle for the US and its president. This video is a 60 min interview where he talks about how liberty works in a truly free society. Finally someone who gets it.
People who can cope and anyone who appreciates this -

Music:

The Stereo Workers Union, Franz Ferdinand, Brian Jonestown Masscre, The Love Tones, The Quarter After, Killers, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Chicago, Marvin Gaye, just about anything Motown, 2 Live Crew, Manu Chao, Travis, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, some electronic music and housey jazz...a bunch of stuff.

Movies:

Boogie Nights, Cool Hand Luke, The Girl Next Door, Rocky IV, Grandma's Boy, Super Troopers, James Bond movies with Sean Connery, Blood Diamonds, The Sting, Mask (the one with Cher in it), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and, of course, the obligatory Godfather I and II.

Television:

Any program on HBO specifically Bill Maher, ROME, Big Love (about Mormons and polygamy), America Undercover and Entourage. The Colbert Report, John Stewart, Real Housewives of Orange County, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Masters, OnDemand Movies.

Books:

Anything by Gore Vidal, Thich Phat Hanh, Charles Bukowski, Thomas Friedman, Maureen Dowd, Thomas Jefferson, Ayn Rand and Joseph Campbell.

Currently Reading: Train Your Brain, Change Your Mind - The Study of Neural Plasticity (This is a new neuroscience that pretty much gives empirical evidence for Eastern philosophy and coping mechanisms. This will be everywhere soon. Get on the bandwagon now.)

Heroes:

My folks for sticking it out and not locking me in closets. Ghandi, Rasputin, Lou Gehrig, Asoka, Isaac Newton, Adam Smith, Michelangelo, Charles Darwin, Buddha, Jim Brown and Scott Baio (ask anyone from LA about his exploits)
