About Me
In this world of instant gratification, it seems as if our society has become "patternized". Quite unfortunately, and though we claim to be the most diverse nation in the world, most of us are slaves to our culture. We are enslaved by ideas and images perpetuated by the media dictating that true fashion is determined by designer names, labels and high price tagsIn the dark shadows of ritzy fashion shows, in the basements of the high end fashion boutiques, in the depths of the souls of the truly individual, a hero lurks. A designer lies in wait, one not concerned with his name on the label of your clothing. In fact there lurks a designer concerned with No Names at all.The concept of No Names was originally conceived from the struggle and plight of our people. History tells us that our ancestors were kidnapped from the mother land and brought to this land with no justice, no respect, no love, no honor, no religion, no common language and no liberties. The most self destructive, the most horrific of them al… our ancestors were brought to this land with No Names. Through time we have regained some of what we lost but we have yet to reclaim our names.Tony's success was the result of a constant hustle, steady preparation and dogged determination. In 1992 Dennis began promoting and selling his merchandise on a black college tour. Dennis entered the industry as a graphic artist designing expressive art for his No Names T shirt line. The evolution of the underground fashion scene and most importantly the need to eat cultivated the designer that we know today. Tony taught himself how to to be a complete designer a better graphic designer, artist, tailor, styles, pattern maker, salesmen, promotor an business man.One of Tony's most notable accomplishments was the establishment of his exclusive nonames designs retail store in October of 1995. One of the many visionaries of that time, Dennis headed to Atlanta , Georgia to take advantage of the the 1996 Olmpics. Using the GAMES To help him jump start nonames designs in Atlanta GA . The inspiration for the store came from other black entrepreneurs that were promoting black awareness via clothing. Notably a rarity at that time, Spike Lee in New York with 40 acres and a mule, Maurice Malone in Detroit with the Hip Hop Shop and "" with Two Black Guys in Toronto. As Dennis evolved, No Names evolved and began to also represent a collective of diverse cultures and conscious of individuals that choose to create their own path, define their own worth and resist the mainstream. This collective is a street army of sorts loyal to No Names all that it represents.Remarkably Tony remains humble as he has worked with and provided clothing for. He has been featured in national magazines, "" major networks, "" independent films, outfitted local and national night club owners and promoters. No Names has arrived to provide exactly what is needed to unchain the mass from hold of mainstream thinking and fashion. With an abundance of talent and a impressive resume in tow Tony Dennis and No Names is set to be the next big thing in fashion. In a world of labels, glamour glitz and big brand names, be individual, be a stand out be NO NAMES.quote from Tony Dennis "Our aim is not to mislead you, but to reach you, so that we can teach you.
