Well, there is not that much about me that is interesting. I live in a small town in northern California called Trinidad; it's a coastal town, so I like going to the beach. Oh, and it's located in northern Humboldt County, in case you've never heard of it. I am a pretty easy going person who enjoys listening to music (country is not music), going to movies, and just making life fun (while making fun of it at the same time). I am currently a student at Humboldt State University, my major is International Studies with an emphasis on Globalization -- I hope to double major with that in Political Science as well as receive a minor in French. While attending HSU I have to study abroad (required by my major) and I plan to do that more than once. The first time I go (which I hope will be next year, if not then most certainly the year after) I want to go to England to continue studying International Relations (similar to International Studies, but already has the Globalization aspect worked into it -- HSU just likes to make the title more lengthy for some reason: i.e. "International Studies WITH AN EMPHASIS ON GLOBALIZATION" -- yeah, you get it. lol) and possibly do an internship and/or humanitarian project while over there (also required by my major). If I do not do an internship and/or humanitarian project in England I will most definitely do one the second time I study abroad -- which will be in France. After graduating from HSU I plan to go either into the Peace Corps for a year or two and then go to graduate school (some where outside of California because I've never lived any where else but Cali) or the other way around, go to graduate school and then into the Peace Corps (either way both are accomplished over time). For graduate school I am hoping for Columbia University, but that's pretty prestigious, so we'll see I guess. After graduate school and the Peace Corps I would like to go back to school to get a teaching credential (or I may do this before I go off to graduate school and the Peace Corps -- I haven't decided yet) that would enable me to work over seas somewhere (maybe in Africa or Russia -- haven't decided which yet) and teach English as a second language to impoverished children -- my ideal place would be within an orphanage, but we'll see (I hear this kind of teaching credential only takes a year or two, and then I'd work over seas for a year or two more). After teaching English to children over seas I would like to get a job working with a humanitarian organization ( i.e. UNICEF -- which is affiliated with the United Nations), become a United Nations Ambassador (this would be my first choice job; this could take years to achieve though, but also may not: i.e. Angelina Jolie is a UN ambassador and she has had no formal training) -- or just work in some sort UN affinity type of place, or become a Human Rights Lawyer (this one is what I'll more likely become). Maybe I'll get to do all of those jobs, but we'll see what happens, I suppose. Other than that, my favorite color is lavender, I like chinese food and chocolate peanut butter anything, Bill Clinton is still my President, and if you want to know something about me, just ask, and I'll tell you. Oh, if you ever want to talk to me when I am online, my AIM screen name is PinkMonkeyO8 - the 'O' is the letter 'o' not a zero. And my MSN screen name is Carolyn724.
