Waiting for Yesterday is a band straight out of the heart of Richmond VA that pushes feelings and emotions into every note played and every word sung. In November of 2002 Daniel Scrimshaw (lead vocalist/guitarist) and Jesse Huckins (backup vocalist/guitarist) met each other having no idea, the friendship that was held between them would bring an unbreakable dream alive. The two worked together dilligently, playing in a basement and writing lyrics on their own beds at night, and in June of 2003 they released The Acoustic EP.
The seven songed album was only the beginning and would soon launch the young teens dreams to a place they had never imagined. The two quickly began searching for a bass player and drummer that shared the same goals and ambitions as they also did. There were countless auditions, but only two spots to be filled.
In late October of 2003, Chris Hessler, who was only a sophmore at the time, met up with the band playing bass and immediately became a part of WFY. Months went by as the search for a drummer was on, but the three teens would not give up for the dream burned so brightly inside of them.
In February of 2004 a drummer named Chris Jones picked up his sticks for the band and never laid them back down. The four chambers of Waiting for Yesterday's heart had been filled. The bands' heart would keep beating and continue to keep the bands' dream alive. It is the heart that holds WFY together as a band, and a friendship, and WFY's heart will not stop beating until it has shared all its' music with the world.
