Learning about life and the world around me, staying informed as much as I can, experiencing new things that force me out of my "comfort zone bubble" etc. I play the piano and clarinet, and music is a major part of my life. I attend cultural events, such as plays, operas, symphonies, book readings, etc, as often as I can. I love camping and being outdoors, and I love spending time with the people who are important to me. The "Sunscreen Song" fascinates me, and the more I go through life, the more I realize everything he says is true. And I love love love little children- I have had several opportunities to work with young children and am continually amazed by them, and how they shape my life. I can't think of anything that beats having a tiny little baby fall asleep in my arms, or helping a toddler learn how to walk. Wonderful, wonderful little people!
Nice, appropriate, interesting people who aren't afraid to share their viewpoints, and who will allow me to "discuss" said viewpoints (read: debate). I like people who challenge my thinking, in a respectful and appropriate manner, and who aren't afraid to stick up for what they believe in. And, perhaps the most important one: people who know the difference between "you're" and "your," and can use them correctly in a sentence. Pet peeve..... sorry.
I like everything from Frank Sinatra to Bon Jovi to Tim McGraw to Blink 182, etc. I also love classical and easy listening. My first concert was Barry Manilow, and my 2nd was Tonic, if that contrast tells you anything. I like most everything! But if I had to pick my all time 2 favorites, they would have to be my blue eyes (Frank Sinatra) and Bon Jovi. Good stuff!
Again with the variety- call me eclectic. Tommy Boy has to rank in the top 3. Guys and Dolls starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. My Fair Lady, The Interpreter, Sound of Music, Rat Race, Ocean's Eleven, Newsies, Moulin Rouge, etc etc etc. Too many to name. I like all different kinds. (chick flicks are a must! There are just too many to list)
Law and Order!!! The original is the best, with Jack McCoy and Abby (the chick from Texas) as the DA's. And of course Brisco and Green are the best cop duo ever. I like the other Law and Order shows as well. CSI is interesting, Friends is freakin' hilarious!!! All time classic: Saved by the Bell. Who could resist Zac Morris?!?! And, I'll admit... I watch C-Span and the news a lot. Blame it on the political science degree. Actually, blame it on my desire to be aware of what's going on in the world around me. Heaven forbid..... ;)
Anything C.S. Lewis. I read extensively, and so it's harder to list books than it was to list music or movies. I love most genres, though I shy away from anything gruesome or morbid. Anything that gets my mind going, that allows me to step outside of myself and explore someone else's corner of the world... I'm a fan. (and yes, that includes the dry, boring stuff like The Federalist Papers, and The World is Flat.)
