Long Jones

ENGLISH:
Matti and Roman from the band „DUST“ joined the already existing band „LONG JONES“, founded by Alex and Philip, in spring 2001. Since than there are almost no stages left in the state of Germany which have not been rocked by the four guys from Ludwigsburg.
In September 2003 LONG JONES were placed 6th out of over 700 bands from Germany at the „BW-Musix“ contest organized by the German Army, MTV, and VIVA. Also in 2003 LONG JONES won the „Youngsterball 2003“ contest organized by the LKA-Club Stuttgart.
In spring 2004 LONG JONES released their first EP „Violet Lounge“. The second album „Drive In“ was released in fall 2005.
You can also find their music on the „G.R.U.N.Z. sampler Vol. 4“, the „Ludwigsburg rockt“ sampler, as well as on different websites spread out in the whole wide world of the internet.
In June 2005 LONG JONES was invited to play with Oasis, Nine Inch Nails, Audioslave, System of a Down, Rammstein, Die Ärzte, Feist, Beck, Turbonegro, Eagles of Death Metal, Wir sind Helden, Mando Diao and many others at the „Southside Festival“ in Neuhausen ob Eck, which is one of the biggest Festivals in Germany.
In summer 2002, when the German TV-channel SWR reported about LONG JONES, it predicted the band a great future...! We'll see... ;-)

After seven incredible and wonderfull years, the four guys of Long Jones going to have a little brake! Drummer Philip is now in the States for a longer time and guitarist Roman in Zurich.
But they don't leave without a little gift for you. At the moment Alex, Matti, Roman and Philip are in the studio to work on their third record full of brand new songs!
So -stay tuned- for the release of record No. 3 from Long Jones!!

Trotz ihres vergleichsweise jungen Alters, rockten die vier talentierten Jungs seit ihrer Gründung 2001 auf zahlreichen großen regionalen und überregionalen Bühnen, Open Air’s und Festivals.
Zu den Highlights des Jahres 2005 dürfte der Auftritt beim Southside-Festival in Neuhausen ob Eck zählen – mit Bands wie Audioslave, Oasis, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, Wir sind Helden, Die Ärzte, Mando Diao, Feist, Beck, Turbonegro, Eagles of Death Metal uvm.
Anfang 2005 erschien die erste EP „Violet Lounge“.
Im November 2006 präsentierten Long Jones ihre zweite CD „Drive In“. Die Platte überzeugt mit 8 nagelneuen Songs, einem Video mit Live-Impressionen ihres Southside-Gigs 2005 und einer wunderbaren Interpretation des Neil-Young-Klassikers “Rockin’ in a free world”.
Das SWR Fernsehen berichtete im Sommer 2002 über Long Jones: „...eine Band mit großer Zukunft!...“ Wir werden sehen ;-)

Nach 7 unglaublichen und herrlichen Jahren machen die vier Jungs von Long Jones nun erstmal eine Pause. Schlagzeuger Philip ist momentan für längere Zeit in den USA und Gitarrist Roman in Zürich.
Ganz ohne Abschiedsgeschenk gehen Long Jones aber nicht in die Pause. Alex, Matti, Roman und Philip waren bereits schon im Studio, um einige ihrer brandneuen Songs zu produzieren.
In Kürze erscheint dann Platte Nr. 3 von Long Jones. -Stay tuned-
