About Me

Hi there, I'm Kat.I've started up this myspace account as part of my campaign for the upcoming SRC elections, and as I am now Vice-President Student Support Elect, I figured this account could still be useful. My job will be to deal with welfare issues like accomodation, safety, financial problems and sexual health, amongst many others. It'll be up to me to make sure that Glasgow students are doing ok, whether it be medical problems, discrimination or facilities which could intefere with their studies.
I'm prepared to work my ass off for you guys - this I promise - I will not only deal with any issue that is brought to me, I will be trying to raise the profile of the SRC so that students feel it is there to help. I want the SRC to be an approachable, friendly yet practical organisation that students automatically think of when they need help or advice. Hopefully, I can prove myself to all those who voted for me. I will definately be trying to.
If you've got any questions, just leave a message for me. Of course, there are other ways for people to get hold of me, but this could be a nice informal way for you guys to chat to me. Don't be shy!

My Interests

Singing, reading, playing guitar, writing for qmunicate, listening to music, watching films and socialising.

I'd like to meet:

Students from any University who have comments, questions, opinions or advice on welfare issues. And anyone with decent banter of course!

Music:

Way too much too think about listing! I'm always up for a random gig, and like surrounding myself with the best of as many genres as possible.

Movies:

Snakes. On a Plane. Could it get any better?

Television:

Don't have one, and not sure if I miss it.

Books:

Love Tolstoy. Love writing. And love reading as often as I have time to. As an English Lit student, I obviously have to, although this term its gone all theory based which has been unconventional reading but pretty challenging in a good way.

Heroes:

People who don't believe in superiority.
