Where's Ben Holland?

About Me

I have a long evolving list of things to do. I'm restless and love adventure and excitement. I can be spontaneous and unpredictable and tend to make snap decisions based on my gut instinct. I'm getting better at taking risks at important crossroads and don't always wait for the little green man. I was once taken out to sea while sleeping on a lilo. Now I'm learning to surf. And to dive. I don't walk in straight lines and along the way I meet the friendliest, funniest and most interesting people in the world! Big snogs to you all XX

My Interests

I like to laugh, I like to dance and I like to drink.

My favourite possessions are my sewing machine, my skates and my harmonica. I don't know how to use any of them properly. But that's what I like about life. Challenges. It's all about taking them on. When you get around to it. Priorities and whatnot.

London - wandering the streets and seeing what I trip over ... little exhibitions, street art, funky bars, cosy pubs, intimate gigs, big festivals, green spaces, urban grittiness. From November, South America will be my new playground. I'm learning Spanish and searching for an antidote to my travelling bug.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a sense of humour ...

Music:

Four Day Hombre, Bloc party, Editors, The Boy Least Likely to, Death Cab for Cutie, The Zutons, Ok Go, Evan Dando, David Ford, Razorlight, The Avalanches, Mylo, anything latino and sexy ...

Movies:

Eeee, loads ... Zoolander's my fave

Television:

Not much time for telly. But I like good british comedies like Peep Show, Little Britain, and Extras, US animation like South Park, Futurama and The Simpsons, and the odd doco. Big no no to soap operas and reality TV.

Books:

Generally I love anything that makes me think about life or forget it all and laugh out loud.

Heroes:

My mum - she's taken a whole lot of shit and yet is the coolest person I know, she's make-me-cry-laughing funny, particularly when she writes, and she's taught me to be a survivor and to stand up for myself. A real life weeble.
