My interests are all over the board - I love to go white water rafting, camping, skiing, and DANCING!! I love board games, singing, knitting, reading, writing, skee ball, photography, watching movies, cooking and EATING, but I hate cleaning up! I love God, and I like music a lot. I would really love to meet my great-grandmother. From every story I've heard about her, she was a really amazing woman. One story that my dad tells me is about when she lived in Texas, and she lived on a ranch with my grandmother. My great-grandfather had died, and the man who owned the neighboring farm decided that he didn't think a woman should be in charge of a ranch, so he cut a hole in the fence and herded all of her livestock into his pasture. When she found out what he had done, she went to his house at dawn with a shotgun. He answered the door in his underwear, and she made him go outside, herd the livestock back into her pasture, and mend the fence, at gun point, in his underwear. Awesome!

Well, I'm almost through with my cable membership for the year that my parents gave me last Christmas. I like anything suspenseful, so I read a lot of books about psycho killers, but I can't watch scary movies because I have nightmares (weird, I know). I really like every book I've ever read by Pat Conroy. I would also like to read every book ever written by Charles Dickens because I think he had an amazing talent for painting a story. I read the Bible daily, and I'm trying to get into more self-improvement books, but I haven't gotten all the way through a single one yet. Maybe that's why I still suck!

There aren't very many people who I've tried to emulate in my life, but I think the person who has affected me the most is my Dad. He is truly the most incredible person I have ever known in my life. He's brilliant, funny, handy, handsome, a good dancer, a good singer, and, most importantly, he loves God with all his heart. He has been forever a strong leader and has never shown anything but complete love and adoration for my mother. I can't imagine another man I know who wouldn't ever say a bad word about his wife to anyone, who would never even allow himself to dwell on lustful thoughts of another woman, who handles his finances with such discipline, and who does at least half of the housework. It's really an impossible standard, and I feel sorry for the poor sap who wants to marry me someday.
