Life. I'm literally interested in almost anything. I particularly like to learn about music, television, tattoos and why people get them, journeys and travel, languages, spirituality and people's experience of religion, other cultures, the animal world, food, photography and the digial manipulation of images, and i love to learn things about things I have never heard about! So go on... tell me about what you love!
I absolutely adore music! My tastes are eclectic but among the things I listen to are Fruit, Missy Higgins, Lior, David Pereira, Yo Yo Ma, Sarah McLachlan, Zulya, Manto, Jack Johnson, Chanting, John Butler Trio, Sophie B Hawkins, Joan Osborne, The Cat Empire, Ani Di Franco, Alanis Morrisette, Eileen Ivers, Angelique Kidjo, Ben Lee, Evanescence, Imogen Heap, Sarah Aubrey, Pearl Jam, The Waifs and too many more to list. One of my favourite things to do is borrow the facourite albums of friends and learn about them through the music they love
i work in TV so it's a pretty big part of my life... the show that started it all was the Aussie drama A Country Practice! Later on I was inspired by The X Files and Xena... nowdays I watch The L Word, Prison Break, Compass, and other random documentaries a person without foxtel can find!
My favourite book is 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, and although he ranks among my favourite authors for his other books none are as complete and perfect as the first. I also like reasing Jostein Gaarder, especially 'Maya' which is set in Fiji. Everyone should read 'The Giver' by Lois Lowry, and my bible is the lonely planet book 'The Travel Book' which has pictures and information on every country in the whole world!
I admire anyone who is doing exactly what they feel they should be doing in this world... I look up to my parents (who are absolutely amazing), the girls from Fruit, and lots of historical and/or famous people whom ive never met but whose stories have attained hero status in my mind.
