I like everything weird and beautiful. I have a little problem with sticking to one thing. As a child, I spent a lot of time drawing and painting. Then I lost the patience for it and started writing. Then I got lonely and started acting (bunch of plays, a couple of films). Then I started writing plays. And then I got a copy of Sonic Foundry Acid 4.0 and did some music. And then I produced plays. And then I got hooked on Photoshop for a bit. Then I got a copy of Flash MX and started animating (check it out: www.thegreatbaluba.com), and now I'm back to writing, but I want to get one of those drawing tablets for the computer so I can do more digital shit (I can't draw with a mouse because I'm left handed), but now I'm almost thirty and I'm not anywhere close to making a living doing any of these things and I'm cutting meat again but I'm in this weird land called ASHEVILLE and... AND... Anyway...
Bjork, Jackie Chan, a millionare who will give me lots of money with no strings attached... a few strings would be fine. But like, you know, small strings. Don Knotts (I think he's dead), a Shaolin Monk, a ninja, some dude who lived in the woods for a long time, the man, Dave Chappelle, the guy who has all the answers, and Chairman Kaga.
Ekoosik Hookah, The D, Dead Can Dance, Fatboy Slim, Bjork, Emininem, T.A.T.U., Ozzy, GWAR, Young Jeez-Y, DBG's (Dank Brewz and Gunz), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, D.J. Shadow, Iron Maiden, Manowar, Megadeth, Metallica (pre Haircut), Nine Inch Nails, King Missile, Lovage, Mr. Bungle, Portishead, The Muppets, Les Miserables (it's so good), Massive Attack, Guitar Wolf, Jesus Christ Superstar, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Public Enemy, Loreena McKennitt, Apocalyptica (I'm sure that's spelled wrong), Country Joe and the Fish, Dr. Hook, Nillson (when I have children, I will make sure they hear "The Point" a lot because I'm basically Oblio), Loituma, Ben Folds, Um...
Monty Python (all of 'em), Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Michael Moore, Tim Burton, Shaun of the Dead, Land of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Return of the Living Dead, Dead Alive, Godzilla, 8 Mile, Wild Zero, Tetsuo the Iron Man, Akira, Spirited Away, Nausicca and the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Animal House, Mom and Dad Save the World, Slither, Requiem for a Dream, Living Dead World, Serenity, Noises Off!, Bad Boy Bubby, Cannibal the Musical, Baseketball, South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut, Dancer in the Dark, Anything with Muppets (moment of silence for Jim... Why do the good people die?), The Turkish Star Wars, Kung Fu movies... Basically, anything funny, weird, gory, or obviously drug inspired. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was the most predictable and retarded movie ever made.
Daily Show, Family Guy, Simpsons, Colbert Report (it's french, bitch!), Adult Swim (Moral Orel, Oblongs, Futurama, Robot Chicken), Grounded for Life, Rome, Six Feet Under, Carnivale (how could they cancel it???), Brainiac, Attack of the Show, X-Play, MXC, Iron Chef (not the American one), Junkyard Wars, Big Love, Firefly, Suvivorman, Deadliest Catch, Ghost hunters, Battlebots (why did they take it off the air??? WHY!!???), Firefly (why does everything good get cancelled???), anything on the History Channel that I haven't already seen, Mr. Show, King of the Hill, Wondershowzen. I spend a lot of time watching TV. A little note: I used to spend a lot of time watching TV. I can't now. No cable.
I don't "read" much. Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Harry Potter are about it. And I read Wicked. Good shit.
Rachel Maddow, Jim Henson, Bjork (everything she touches turns to gold). Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Wolverine. I think superheroes are great.
