About Me

Hello Everyone!! I just moved to Houston, from Baton Rouge, and I'm trying to get the feel of the new environment that I now live in, especially the streets and interstates. I know I'll be spending a lot of time on MapQuest for the next couple of weeks. I love Jesus, and I'm looking for a new church here in Houston. I just left my home church at Bethany, and I know I want to go to Lakewood Church, asap, just because of a lot of reasons. I really don't have too many friends in Houston, and I'm looking for a job. I love working out and playing sports, mainly basketball, tennis, and golf. I guess the best way to describe my personality would be. I'm an open-minded 28 year old, who has spent at least 1/3 of his life in church services listening, worshiping, and gaining wisdom through sermons preached from Biblical principles. Life has taken me through twists and turns throughout this journey, but I'm still trying to reach the stars and live my dreams. I just know now, that it's going to take a little more focus and time to accomplish my goals.

My Interests

I love physical exercise, and playing basketball. I like to read books, and learn new things, be it computer programs or historical biographical info or whatever. I like to have fun in whatever means that may be. I love chilling out with friends and I love going to my church.

I'd like to meet:

Honestly, I'd love to meet a lot of people. I would like to spend more time with my friends and family. First of all... I'd like to meet my future wife. But, I would love to be able to meet this list of famous celebrities and legends: Prince, Michael Jackson, Robert DeNiro, George Lucas, Moses, Kobe Bryant, Solomon, Elijah, Muhammed Ali and others. But, not necessarily in that order. I am intrigued by people who in some way, in my eyes, think differently than others and have a strong confidence in themselves.

Music:

Oh.. I love music. I play the guitar, so I love different kinds of music too; its just that I hate country, and I like some rap songs. I don't really like hardly any songs that don't have a true feeling within it, and that could be harmony-wise or in the lyrics. I like oldies, r&b, rock, instrumental, contemporary christian, (some) gospel, and most music that is played with real instruments: such as guitar or piano.

Movies:

I absolutely love Legends of the Fall, Tombstone, The Saint, The Godfather triology, Star Wars IV - VI, The Score, Coming to America, Boomerang, The Wood, and so many more. I love watching movies, but only the good ones.

Television:

I really don't watch TV too much, but when I do I try to catch sportscenter every once in a while.

Books:

I've read a couple of books. "The Bible" is obviously the main book to read. Jar got me to read the Hobbit, and some of the Lord of the Rings triology. I just finished John Eldredge's "Wild at Heart", and I advise it to any young man who has eyes to see. The first quality book that I read was Benny Hinn's "Good Morning Holy Spirit". It gave me vision into life in the spiritual world. I write and I read a lot so, a lot of books that I've started on, I haven't finished, so... Anyway

Heroes:

All of my heroes are from the Bible. It was Samson, because of his great strength when I was little. When I was in my teenage years, it was Solomon because of his great wisdom. And, now I guess it would have to be a tie between a couple of different men in the Bible, but mostly Paul because of his true love of God and of the people he ministered to. I'm getting too old for heroes, I think.

My Blog

Have mercy, I have sinned

I just listened to my pastor preach a sermon on the ten commandments. And, as I listened to him, I recognized that at one time or another, I believe that I have broken every sin, except for " thou s...
