I started MSFI as a way to express myself through music. After being a singer in a pop-punk band (The Offseason) for about a year I decided I wasn’t able to express myself any longer through that music. I’ve always loved the sound of an acoustic guitar and have always thought I could express myself better with that sound. After trying this project with a few people who just didn’t have time I decided to ask a good friend I met in college, AJ, if he wanted to play with me. AJ was formerly in Middle of Nowhere and is a very talented guitar player who shares the same interest, passion, and taste in music as I do. Shortly after meeting him and shortly after my college career began I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. This along with girls and life have heavily influenced me and my songwriting. While moving to Richmond with Jarrod Chaplin he was immediately interested and joined up with MSFI making the lineup almost solid. While meeting new friend Mark Tsao,who plays drums, talks started and the lineup as of now is complete. This is a musical project and we all will play different instruments throughout it. With that said.... look forward to future demos and recordings...
