Da Original Dj Precise began his career at 7 years old experimenting with his uncles turntables and records. Born and raised in the the birthplace of Hip Hop, the Boogie Down Bronx and fueled by his rich cultural surroundings, DJ Precise has established his name as one of the hottest DJ's ever known. Precise's notoriety and hard work led him to a mixtape of the month award in the Source magazine with his cd "Raw and Uncut" in 1998 and "Reggae Old to New" which is still today the highest selling reggae mixtape. Growing up listening to his parent’s Spanish records, Precise had a vision of blending Salsa with Hip Hop, which let him to dropping the hottest salsa mixtape of the year "Salsa Mix”. He created a new and innovative sound which has led to many appearances on Spanish radio stations in New York and is now followed by many DJ's across the country. In 2001 Precise teamed up with the elite handpicked group of DJ’s, the Heavy Hitters led by DJ Enuff from Hot 97 in New York. He has DJ'd Album Release parties for artist such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Nelly, Cam ‘Ron , and birthday Parties for Alicia keys and Angie Martinez. Precise has also been the headlining DJ for events featuring performances by Daddy Yankee , Kanye West , Tego Calderon ,Aventura , Ivy Queen , Fat Joe , Juvenile, P.diddy , Little Kim , 50 cent , Usher , Jay Z , Ludacris , Fabolous and N.O.R.E. In 2005, Precise was offered the opportunity to be on the hottest Reggaeton radio station, La Kalle 105.9. Approached by a good friend, DJ Kazzanova believed that with Precise's crazy blend skills he would add a new flavor to the Reggaeton movement. Precise already started using his talents in another direction producing tracks for artists like Zion and Lennox and Voltio which opened an opportunity for future productions.
You can catch Da Original Dj Precise on the NY air waves on La Kalle 105.9 / 92.7 on Tuesdays from 5pm - 6pm, Fridays from 9pm -12mid, and Saturday from 8pm – 10pm. When Dj Precise is not on the radio, you can also find him at any of the hottest night clubs throughout the tri-state area including, The World Famous Copacabana, Xbar, Fantasia, Deep, Lq’s, Duvet, Aer, Crobar, Pacha and many more.
