Hello, My name is Scott and I love Florida. There is a lot of history here, from Ponce De Leon to Hot Water Music. I grew up on a horse farm under the century old oaks trees of Ocala, FL. I met some other coyboys who lived on neighboring horse farms named Jon & Enrique. We became close friends with each other because we all lived too far away from everybody else. Enrique couldn't speak English and Jon had great pets. He had a huge pig that we used to take rides on named Pinky, and two giant tortises named Sherman & Gertrude. We rode them too. He had a dog named Skippy that wasn't allowed inside and 8 other dogs that were allowed inside. The saddest part was there was this glass door that Skippy could look through and see all the other dogs relaxing in the AC. I always felt bad for poor Skippy. Maybe thats why he ran away. I think the feeling around the farm was mutual so it was cool. Jon said it was because he used to roll around in horse crud but I never saw it. Jon and I became expert bb gun marksman out on the farm. Our second grade teacher Mrs. Ross taught us that if we ever killed something, we had to eat it. Jon and I ate way more than our fair share of yellow warblers (a very small songbird), a few cardinals, and one dove. This, while sounds unbelievable is true, and I hope we will be ok in the long run. I am a bit remourseful and concerned. My Grandfather opened up a skating rink in Taylor, Michigan when my father was growing up. It was called "Fantasy Roller-Rink". My Dad was a gold medal winning speed skater. My Mom worked at the snack bar. This very skating rink is where my parents began dating. I guess it is safe to say that I have roller skating deeply engrained in my blood. I have won many free hot dogs and soda pops in the red-light green-light contests. I am also a good down man in the push cart races (I am light weight). I am generally a very lucky person. It all started when I won a beach cruiser in a raffle from Publix as a child. My little feet could not even reach the pedals. So beware if you ever play me in cards.
Next, I moved to Gainesville, FL for 2 years and that was neat. Lots of good live music there. Then, it was off to Jax Beach, FL to attend University of North Florida. You can't beat living a block and a half off the ocean and having a 10 minute drive to school. Surf, surf, and more surfing. Maybe go to a class or two. After gragitation, I moved back to Ocala. Life is totally rad here. I used to be afraid of certain things, but now I have learned to control my fears rather than have my fears control me. I am not afraid of anything now-a-days...exept maybe monsters. p.s. My friend Ballard hates the color TEAL and Chrystler LeBarons
