About Me

"I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday, and I LOVE today." -William Allen White

'What will your obituary say?' at QuizGalaxy.com

.. ..

Hi, I'm Meg..wait, you knew that, although I'm known by many other little nicknames. I'm very smiley, very Irish, very upbeat, and I do my best to enjoy life. I try very hard not take things for granted, although there's always tomorrow...hopefully.., and try to be grateful for everything I have. I have a huge appreciation for the arts, mainly music(singing, piano). I am going into the health field as far as schooling, but will always keep music on the side; it has always been my outlet. For me, optimism is the key to happiness. ..

My Interests

I love softball, swimming, been REALLY into the old-school hip-hop scene for a long time, I've got a huge passion and appreciation for it...I also love laughing till I cry, dancing in my underwear... well, dancing period.. singing, drawing, reading, camping, concerts, road trips, being in the sun, playing piano, spending time with my sister and friends.....Oh yeah, and did I mention that I like music, yeah, that would be my forte' and LOVE! How could I mention that last??

I'd like to meet:

Gotta LOVE music...It's an undeniable thing...Word!

Movies:

I have a soft spot for all of those epic/ heroic/ patriotic/ romanesque type films, (probably my Dad's influence rubbing off), all Kevin Smith films, all Tim Burton/Danny Elfman movies, all John Hughes and "Brat Pack" stuff, Dead Poet's Society, The Shawshank Redemption, L.A. Confidential, Casablanca, a lot of Alfred Hitchcock, Almost Famous, Old School, Office Space, all of The Godfathers, Donny Darko, Platoon, Fight Club, SNATCH, Dazed and Confused..I find that I am drawn to a lot of Indie and foreign films as well, they seem like a breath of fresh air-very original.

Television:

Lately, I haven't been a big tv freak. I think most reality shows are obnoxious and very shallow, although I must admit I ocassionally get sucked into them. I do enjoy a good historical documentary; our past can be interesting stuff. Also, I miss the time in my life when I could regularly watch "Wonder Years", probably being one of the best parts of my childhood EVER! My sister and I also regularly get together to watch "Adult Swim" on Cartoon Network, which definitely gives me a good laugh!

Books:

Angela's Ashes, Teacher Man, Tis, big Frank McCourt fan! That Night and Child of my Heart by Alice McDermott, Catcher and the Rye, The Lipstick Jungle, all George Orwell books, The Great Gatsby, Rolling Stone (if that counts), lots of autobiographies..very interesting to hear about lives from the people who lived them, especially if they were exciting or wild.

Heroes:

My Mom, the strongest, most beautiful, and most generous person I have had the pleasure to be close to! I LOVE her!

AFTER SOME THOUGHT, I'VE FOUND THAT IT'S NOT A GOOD THING TO BE TOO EASILY PLEASED............

What I used to think a virtue of mine, has definitely turned into something negative. I've always been the type of person to give everyone a chance, always handing them the benefit of the doubt. I've ...
