The pure in heart shall see God...

About Me

Ive always considered myself a pretty conservative and traditional person and yet Ive had some ecclectic experiences that have been a huge part of my formation. I grew up in the country of Pennsylvania but moved to the city as soon as I could get there. My hometown was mono-cultural but I found myself most at home within the Korean community in New York; now I work and teach at a seminary at the beach. Ive read that we dont learn by experience but rather by adequate reflection on experience, and so as I reflect on my own history, the clearest common denominator is the thread of Gods sovereignty and continuity that flow seemlessly throughout. As a general rule I love drives over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel at sundown, kimchee soup with Spam, t-shirt sheets, the drive home to see my family, picnic dinners while watching dolphins out at Sandbridge, the mingled smell of jasmine tea and dust in a Chinatown shop, making my niece laugh by snorting into her neck, goosebumps from great music, seeing the "aha" moment when teaching, getting the "aha moment when learning, giving grace and receiving forgiveness, eating spaghetti with chopsticks, finding old christian classics for pennies in used bookstores, watching chick flicks with my girlfriends, and New York bagels and vendor coffee in the morning.I edited my profile at ChristianMySpaceCodes.com
