All things are fascinating if one looks at them correctly. As days pass my interests seem to shift towards more serious things. I still enjoy video games but realize the amount of time they can occupy our minds taking us from the important matters at hand with our political situation, environmental corruption and the evils of the world being forgotten as we enjoy our luxuries.
Anyone who is trying to change the world. Those of us that opened our eyes to the corruption around us and the lies we are constantly told by the media. Anyone who is working on renewable energy sources and biodiesel. Smart people who are seeing the damage all around and remember this is a beautiful world we need to preserve not destroy.
I have an ipod shuffle that is the only thing that gets between me and shanking some bastards at work. It has a steady diet of 80s punk like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Generation X (I think 70s here)and every fourth track seems to be the Misfits. Muse, The Fratellis, Lily Allen, The Streets, Gorillaz, The Bravery, Kasabian, Amy Winehouse, The Birthday Massacre, AFI, Beastie Boys, Rancid. Then older dance stuff like Dune, Oakenfold, Crystal Method, Roni Size. Prince is totally in my top play list. Then some days you just want to kick it with Run DMC, Mc Chris, Princess Superstar maybe even some Lil' Kim. I almost forgot the Man in Black, Johnny Cash.
I love Horror films, not your modern crap so much but the raw horror of yesteryear. Zombie movies hold their own special place in my heart. The original Night of the Living Dead is one of my favorites. Brain Damaged (aka Dead Alive), Logan's Run, Star Wars (not the new crap), The Hills Have Eyes, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Godzilla films, Super Troopers, too many to list really.
Heroes and discovery channel shows. The Planet Earth series is amazing to watch. Ice Road Truckers, Eureka, the Anime Channel kicks ass.
I mostly read non-fiction any more, lots of books I got from my grandma's house. Currently reading a few books on the metaphysical and psychic arts. Diary and Lullaby, if I ever get my copies back I can finish them. Slowing working through the Tao Te Ching and the Bhagavad-Gita. A Brief History of Time, Curious George, Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Choke, Animal Farm, the From Heaven to Earth series. These books are supposed to be accounts of a few people talking to historical figures through the use of a medium, they are an interesting read. Life after Life, the Book of the Five Rings, Nueromancer, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Thanks to Nate I can add Dune to this list.
The first guy who was brave enough to cut the top of his hair and let the back keep on growing. You sir, you are a true hero to us all.
