Rebel Girl is Rock History in the Making!Cleveland based power trio Rebel Girl is poised to make rock-n-roll history in 2007. In their first year as a band, they won Cleveland’s Battle for Myspace competition, released their debut album, and were awarded the title of Punk Band of the Year in The Cleveland Free Times Music Awards. Rebel Girl’s music features tight instrumental work in addition to well-crafted lyrics that are a refreshing change from the beat driven melodies performed by many of today’s artists. Written by lead vocalist / guitarist Rose Kuhel, their songs evoke a wide array of feelings, emotions, and journeys through life that everyone can relate to. Bass player Danielle Zilke and drummer Holly Manning round out the line-up of this talented and energetic group. ‘Re-inventing chick rock’, is what this band is all about, but Rebel Girl is more than just Rose, Danielle, and Holly, it’s the sum of the parts that come together when all three perform. Although their individual influences range from family, to Bruce Lee, to diverse genres of music, as a group they find common ground in their own music. Drawing on an arsenal of catchy and powerful songs, Rebel Girl is armed and ready to take on the world!
