Ok so I figured instead of write some big list of all my releases (of which there are none :P) or have some 5 page long bio about how I work with a bunch of huge people and how I rule and am the greatest thing to ever come out of the scene (yeah, I suck and some people who say that aren't shit), I'm gonna throw some love to the dudes who've helped me make songs, weither mine sound like the demo button on a keyboard or not.
Drew Derivative: Pretty much the reason I actually started producing and djing in the first place. Probably one of the nicest and humblest guys in hardcore, he gave more advice on how to make things sound right and how to do things proper than anyone else. Also one of the smartest guys I've ever known. He picks things up very quickly and learns how to adapt himself to better fit the music, constantly reinventing and changing his methods, learning new techniques, and figuring out what people want the most. And he's one of the funniest drunks I've ever talked to. If this guy isn't mixing, he's easily the most entertaining person with vodka in him. He also runs hardcoreforya.net, one of the better private hardcore websites in the states (when it's running). Everyone that has any interest in hardcore or dance music in general, thank Drew for doing what he does to help the scene stay strong.
Whitey: Another great producer, Whitey hails from Australia, and at only 16 is already getting signed to several digital labels. He's about as good as they come in terms of music theory, he's one of the few guys I know in hardcore that could do a fully live PA with a midi keyboard. I've tossed some ideas back and forth and he's been more than happy to tell me what he thinks and gives back honest advice on how to tweak something to make it sound better. He also frequently lets me preview some of his tunes in the works, which a tough thing to do for some people, putting your ego on the spot like that. Good sense of humor and really laid back, this is another one that is worth saying hi to.
Dj 2-Tails: Crazy little dude is 14 and he's making tunes that are EASILY mistaken for something that any of the guys that do this for a living could put out. This kid could give Scott Brown a run for his money. He's also been signed to a digital label or two recently. He knows more about engineering, melodies and structures than most people twice his age. He's also another guy that will give you tunes before you even ask for them. I wouldn't be surprised if he got picked up by a major record label in the next year or two. He's also a really fun and open guy, pretty much makes me laugh all the time. He's also a DDR whore, and like the word "penis" a lot. Gotta keep an eye on this one, he's going places.
Arsenic: Complete and total WOW whore, lol. He'll probably be a millionare before I can even get a degree. Smart guy with a lot of ambition, he can figure out how to make a song in a couple hours. Despite the fact that he says his trance tunes are better than his hardcore ones, he's still managed to get signed a digital label, which I think is pretty bitching for a trance whore :P. He's also more friendly than anyone I know, IMing me probably 3 times a day, weither I'm around or not. He's the most honest of all the producers I know, not afraid to tell you if it sucks and doesn't make any apologies for it later. If you ever need an honest opinion or a question about structure, he's the best person to ask.
Dj Fliptrik: Haha, now this kid is incredible. From absolutely outta nowhere this guy can make stuff that deserves to be signed. He's a great ear for music, can make amazing synths, and he's also a great dude to just talk about random stuff with. Another really humble dude who probably gives himself less credit than he deserves. Plus he's one of the only guys from the UK that I talk to on a regular basis. It's great to actually have a friend over in the place where the music is really making an impact. Keep an eye out for this one, he'll be famous in a few years, I'm certain.
Ian K/MC Verbal: A Seattle local and Cubase pimp, Ian has been getting tons of bookings these days due to the fact that his productions keep getting better and better. He's recently done some work for Channel Surfer and had his remix released on Beatport.com. When I first messaged him asking if he would play at our party he was like "fo sure man!", and then he offered to keep helping promote parties in the future. He's always a busy man, but he's always friendly as well. I've learned a few tricks from him over the past year or so, and we still swap tunes here and there. Anyone who knows him knows that he's class, and those who don't know him should!! He's always been a great help and nice as hell.
Milo: I think I saw this madman about a year before I met him. I watched him play at a local rave before I even knew what hardcore was, let alone who he was! Then I messaged him like a year or so later and he was like "YO!!!!" I talked to him a bit after a party and gave him a few of my WORST tunes I've ever made lol. He didn't say they were crap or horrible or anything like that, which I think he should have. He said they looked like they had potential and told me how to work on things. You think a guy helping run happyhardcore.com would have a bit of an ego but it's just the opposite. His tunes are always amazing, and he's already got an impressive number of them released through Various labels including Sunrize's Sunrize Sound. He also is great to talk to about production help, and he also can point you in the way of other producers that you can talk to. Get to know him, he's one of the greatest people in hardcore, let alone North America. Oh and he also will respond to comments, haha.
Orbit1/The Acolyte: Crazy Aussie is the man!!!!!!!! I talked to him for like 5 hours the first time I talked to him, and that was enough to convince me that I needed to have a professional remix done by this man. He's one of the fastest growing producers in hardcore, with releases all over the place on Warped Science, Thin n Crispy, Executive Records, and more that I can't recall of the top of my head right now. He IS the humblest person in hardcore that I know, given the fact that is is a known and internationally accredited hardcore producer and dj, and he gives the most advice out of anyone in that respect that I've talked to. He's also a laugh and a half if you get into a decent enough conversation, probably only second to Drew in terms of just being able to talk to. Go talk to his Australian ass sometime, crazy bald dude IS THE FUTURE!!!
