His Biological Father, Elijah Bey(A member of the Moorish Science Temple of America) parted ways when he was 3yrs old over irreconcilable differences, with his mother. The rest of his life consisted of a whole lot of traveling living a nomadic lifestyle, due to his mother second husband being in the United States Armed Forces. Unfortunately the rocky relationship between Jamaal and his mothers husband, led his mother to send him off to live with his father, so from 14-18 he was moving back and forth from Jersey to Michigan, finally ending up in Dallas, which became home for this young diamond in the rough. Dallas, Texas has always had a strong history of violence, from the Kennedy Assassination, The Mafia, The Shower Posse's Bloody Reign in the early 90's, it has always been a tough town, for his first 5 years in 'The D', Jamaal had to swim with sharks, and Get It How He Lived, indeed. By the age of 22 he had and Epiphany, after loosing one to many comrades, from the streets and the Notorious Texas Penal System, he decided he was going to pursue his first love which is Hip Hop, with his first child on the way it was only right. NOWAAH (pronounced like Noah) is the name he derived from The Supreme Mathematics and The Torah, THE FLOOD was added on by his hustler peers(Nuff Said!) thus this was the Genesis of NOWAAH THE FLOOD. GRIFTER is the MOVEMENT founded by the OLD SCHOOL GANGSTERS from WEST DALLAS (FISHTRAP PROJECTS) to bring CIVILIZATION to the thugs, from 2000 to Present, NOWAAH THE FLOOD has toured all over the US and abroad (Japan and Austrailia) doing Grassroot Promotions.
