Teco Trent was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Bishop Maurice and Barbara Trent. The youngest of 8 Teco performed on his first major venue when he was 10 years old. He sang at the Civic Center in Atlanta Ga. Alongside gospel recording artist and Pastor the late Rev. Archie Dennis. He composed his first song at age 14 while attending The Rayen High School in Youngstown Ohio. Then at age 18 he worked under the tutelage of Lamarquis "Marq" Jefferson of So So Def learning how to produce music. He found his singing style with the training of his older brother Elder David Trent & was taught how to play piano by his older sister Fara "Trent" Reid. He went on to open up for and sing with Stellar Award Winner Vicki Winans, the imcomparable Reverand Rance Allen, Holy Hip Hop's pioneer sensation A-1 Swift and grammy award winning Candy Staton. Teco has composed, sang and produced five albums. More recently, in 2005 He produced & wrote the gospel stage play "Euroklydon " where it was performed at the prestigious Tennessee Performing Arts Center.In addition to completing his lastest installment of Gospel Stage play scheduled to premier in the of fall 2008.
