I am so fed up with Hip Hop and most Black artist as it stands. Most of the music that is produced to day does nothing but perpetuate a negative environment and image for Blacks and all of America. There are very few artists that have something positive to say. Most of them are concerned only with how much money they have, how many times they have been shot, how many people they have shot, what kind of cars they have, and how many women they have slept with. Speaking of women they can't even respect them. What really kills me about that is some of the women call themselves out of their own name. Let’s not even get on the "N" word. How do we expect anyone one else to respect us and a people and culture if we can't do it ourselves? Oh but let someone else who isn't black say the word we are ready to fight. People please look up the definition of the word.

So black people are socially disadvantaged class of people? And this is what you will allow your friends to call you? This is sad. Back to the new Hip Hop nation. I say new because it used to have a positive role. Groups like Public Enemy and NWA talked about social issues in their neighborhoods. Most law makers and conservative didn't like what they had to say or how they said it. But the message told the truth about the struggles they ad to go through. They didn't always glamorize it. They didn't make living in the ghetto the new "in" thing. It was the way of life they had to live. Today’s artists make it sound like slinging and living in the ghetto is the way your supposed to live. One "frosty" want to be had the nerve to try and down Nas because he never sold drugs. So to be a new rapper you have had to sell drugs? That's a good thing? Bringing death into your community to line your pockets is a prerequisite to be a creditable rapper?
let me stop here I could write a book filled with all the frustrations I have. I will just leave you with a request and one poem.
Please listen to the lyrics of the songs and only support artist that have content in their lyrics. Don't give money to the masses that do nothing but help destroy our communities.
