Hi there!

About Me

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." ------------------------------------------------------------ ------Diogo Pimentel is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In August, 2004, after winning a scholarship to study at Campbellsville University, Mr. Pimentel moved to the United States. During these years he had intense musical activity as recitalist, chamber musician (participating in several recordings), teacher, and composer under the supervision of diverse teachers such as Norma Cuppertino, Amarillis Guimaraes, Alysio de Mattos, Nicole Lech, Peter McHugh, Soh-Hyun Park Altino and Janna Lower. He shows a tendency to philosophic aspects about music and life that defines his personality as a thinker. Outside of music, Diogo Pimentel has a passion for fixing things, especially violins. Mr. Pimentel was appointed as the concert master of the University of Florida Symphony Orchestra in 2007 and 2008. Preceding that, he was concert master of Campbellsville University Symphony Orchestra, Campbellsville University String Ensemble, Orquestra Sinfonica da Associacao de Musicos Batistas Fluminenses, Conjunto de Camera Sacra Vox, as well as assistant of concertmaster, principal 2nd violin and violin apprentice of orchestras in festivals conducted by diverse music directors such as David Bowden, Anthony Spain, Patrick Kavanaugh, Robert Gaddis, Ernani Aguiar, and others. My Interests

It is relative to the system in which we are.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Classical music is my preference... however what really matter is the arrangement of sounds and its contrasting pattern based in some principle of organization, that goes beyond the form. ...Music can be dangerous too, but it is indeed a sincere exclamation from historic waves of any proportion based in anything and expressing exactly what your channels of perception are able perceive.

Movies:

I like many movies that I already forgot. However... I just watched MATRIX I, II, and III. I like it!

Television:

I am not friend of TV, actually... I think TV is not good in general. TV is kind of a messenger from the big machine of the regent system trying to control you. It stays there, settled in your room and it speaks whatever it wants, and you listen to it every day. It might model your values and even destroy an entire culture... TV is very dangerous!

Heroes:

Those that die are too proud, those that never die are illusion, and the rest are cowards waiting to die. So... the one that transcend is Jesus.
