Sounds Like: I am from Mammoth Cave, Ky. I now live in Nashville, TN. I grew up playing the fiddle going to Bill Monroes home place every weekend that I could and learning as much as I could. When I was 15 I got my first professional job as a fiddle player, actor, gunfighter at a Western Amusement park In Cave City Called "Guntown Mountain." 2 years later at 17 I started full time as a staff fiddle player at a Big Jamboree Music Show in Ky called "Calvin Rays Live Music." There I played fiddle and guitar to nearly 30-40 different songs each week. Talk about headache....But it was on the radio so it was fun hearing my self everyweek on there. I enjoyed it!!!Leanred alot..Part of high school I studied Jazz and then at age 18 I went to College for Classical Violin. Stayed in school few years and decided to move to Nashville to make it big.....Ha...never do that !!! but fortunately 2 months after I moved down I took the Job playing fiddle with Mark Chesnutt at 20. I got to play all over the US and even Played in JAPAN which was a blast! I finally Played the Grand Ole Opry in 07. Presently I am looking for another National Act to start full time! call me 270-991-1568 Ben Probus
