I like cars and just about anything with an engine and enjoy working on them sometimes. I have 2 hot-rods of sorts, and it's sad to say both are down for problems so I'm driving a busted up truck right now. The car I'm trying to get back on the road is a turbocharged '89 Dodge Shadow with lots of little mods, I love taking it to Mooresville Dragway and beating up on Mustangs with it!I also am kind of a computer geek, I'm writing this from a computer I built myself. I like computer games, especially FPS/Action but also the occasional racing game or strategy game. Once I get done with my Drafting degree I want to take the simulation and game development course at CPCC, I may be a mechanic now but I'd really love to make my living being a video game designer.
Just cool people to hang out with in general. Single right now too so I'm open.I need to get my ass in gear and find more people to hang out with, maybe some parties to go to. Maybe even go out with someone that lives in the same state as me, that would be a concept!
Mostly rock, all sorts, motly hard rock, some metal. I can't stand a lot of the emo/prep rock, fake ass queer social punk or whatever, or Limp Bizkit or anyone trying to emulate that garbage.I have an Acoustic and Electric guitar, and I really aspire to learn to play, but due to just a sometimes hectic life and a buttload of ADD I haven't got my shit together to learn how to play that much. I think I need someone to stand over me and make me learn or something, I just end up getting frustrated because I can't wail on it and do what I want yet. Patience is a virtue I'm still very much learning!
I like all sorts of movies. I like action/sci fi especially but there's no genre that I'm completely disinterested in. At risk of not sounding like a "real man" I've enjoyed the occasional romantic comedy too, though that's best watched with a girl by my side so I can better justify it.
I don't watch as much as I would like too, but some of the shows I'm hooded on are The dead zone, Monk, any of the CSI series, and I really love Mythbusters, sometimes Monster Garage or American Chopper but from a mechanic's view they really dumb it down and skim over the technical details I like to hear about.
Mostly sci fi/action and some mystery books. There's this excellent series of books called Death Lands I've read a lot of. it's set in kind of a 100 years in the future post-apocalyptic world with a traveling band of people that get into all sorts of bad situations. Tons of violence/gore/cursing and some sex, like a hard core action movie in book form. Women would probably hate them but it's got some strong well-developed very human characters.
I don't idol or aspire to be like anyone. I take inspiration from other people's successes in all areas of life and look on how to apply it to myself.
