Teratology, the sideshow, handlebar moustaches, the moustache rebellion, prosthetic limbs, dead and preserved animals, found photos, photo booths, art, Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers, antiques, antique photos, old things in general, honking at crows on the freeway, trains, ghost stories, haunted locations, riding my highwheel bicycle, gentlemen's outfitters. Not like the tuxedo place in the mall, but true tailor shops with hats on the wall and cases of shaving supplies and cuff links and stuff, bowties, the late 1800's, hobos, driving long distances, New Jersey, Montana, North Carolina, Tennessee, rivers, bike paths, peting zoos, carnivals, fesivals, circuses, menageries, medical museums, motordromes

These people: Guys with superb moustaches, guys who ride highwheel bikes, old guys that play the banjo, carnies, vagabounds, hobos, tramps, ne'er do-wells, cribbage players, jew's harp players, saw players, taxidermy enthusiasts

Music:

I mostly listen to music that someone had to tramp through mountains to record on some old person's porch- Appalachian music from Kentucky and N. Carolina.I also like some hot jazz and jug band music from the 20s and 30s.And early Blues.I also like most anything with a jews harp, squeeze box, or a musicle saw.

Movies:

Sherry Baby, The Illusionist, Half Nelson, Little Miss Sunshine, Factotum, 12 and Holding, Everything Is Illuminated, Dead Man's Shoes, Me You an Everyone We Know, Dummy, Basquiat, American Beauty, American Splendor, Ghost World, Woody Allen movies- particularly Radio Days, Hannah and Her Sisters, Sweet and Lowdown, and Deconstructing Harry, Barry Levinson movies (the ones he wrote): Diner, Tin Men, Librty Heights, Avalon (NOT man of the Year!), M. Knight Shyamalan movies, Larry Fessenden movies, A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS is possibly the best movie I've ever seen. It's on the new release wall at your local Blockbuster- go get it!

Television:

Old black and white cartoons with skeletons playing their own ribs as xylophones. And Tex Avery.

Books:

A Confederacy of Dunces, Antique medical books, old encyclopedias, Geek Love, Charles Addams books, Joe Coleman books, Robert Crumb books, Dan Clowes books, Edward Gorey books, dictionaries and books about dictionaries; The Professor and the Madman, Caught In the Web of Words, an endless list of sideshow and medical anomolies related books.
