The Dimwits started in LA in 1996 with Pat Roach, Will Diaz, Mike Laquerica, Christian Kassoff, and kevin something-i dont remember-he was a shitty guitar player, and no one liked him anyway. We played like 3 songs and kicked him out. About a week later I (im pat) was drinking with Dave Teague, and we decided to to insert him in the lineup as starting lead guitar guy. That was the best decision ever, Dave can play the fuck out of anything. We started to write cool punk rock songs and then thought, lets TOUR!,... dumb mistake, but good memories. We started in Vegas, it was new years eve, where we all got really fucked up early, waited to play until 3am, and we all played 4 completely different songs from each other. As we fell apart, Dave thru down his guitar and unplugged his amp as if to say "You guys suck im out of here" well I didnt like that so I picked up a symbol stand and charged him, pinning him against the wall with the tripod stand. Next thing I know, the fucker punches me in the face, I fall down into the rest of the drums scattering them everywhere, and the whole bar jumps up hollerin " Fuckin Dimwits Rule". Me and Dave have been the best of friends ever since. That was the beginning, more to come...
