About Me
Born in Stratford, NJ, Young Reese and his family left the suburbs of New Jersey and relocated to the tough and dangerous streets of Philadelphia, Pa. At the tender age of three, Young Reese would see first hand what the city known as The City of Brotherly Love, had in store for him. After Young Reeses parents split up, he was left with his mom, Lisa living at his grandmothers row house in West Philadelphia, also known as the bottom. The Bottom was known for its tough neighborhoods and high crime rate. Time passed and Lisa tried to adjust to life as a single mom with three children. Reese began adjusting to the streets while analyzing everything around him.
After relocating several times throughout the Philadelphia area with his mother Reese found refuge at his grandmothers house in a section known as Frankford. While his mother suffered from an addiction, Reese turned to music as a solace to hide his pain. I didn't have a pop, mom was addicted all I had was music to turn to, said Reese. Over the next two years Reese would go through a major transition- his mother entered rehab, overcame her addiction moved the family to Alabama. The stay in Alabama was short lived and the family moved back to Philadelphia. This is when Reese actually began to show his affinity for music. At the age of eleven he hooked up with a friend and began writing and rapping. By the age of twelve he was performing in front of the camera at any family function that he could. Before Reese turned fourteen, his mother was relocating the family once again, this time to Lakeland, Fl, a small city 45 minutes west of Orlando. Here is where Reese would began his musical career. Reese's manager (D-Wood) obtained a contract agreement with a talented up and coming production duo known as "The Runners" who have also produced for the likes of Fat Joe, Trick Daddy, Juelz Santana, Lil. Wayne and Rick Ross just to name a few. At the age of 15, Reese and The Runners collaborated on a CD titled The Best of Young Reese, a mix CD hosted by Jadakiss. Now 2 years later at the age of 17, "Young Reese" is very hungry and patiently awaiting for his opportunity to share his life, his views, and our world. Reese says "Man do I have a lot to say, you havent heard anything yet-I have some things I need to share with the rest of the world". Currently Reese is working on a new mix CD, while his manager shops his demo.
