Music, Film, Literature (all meaning I don't get out enough!!!). I would love to get in the music business someday, mainly behind the scenes, but who knows! My favourite musicians are Johnny Cash, Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Tommy Shaw, Jack Blades, Jim Peterik, Kevin Chalfant, Stevie Nicks, Emmylou Harris, Roy Orbsion, Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, and too many more to try and remember to put here!
LIVING: Any members of Journey past and present, David Coverdale, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and The Tennessee Three! DEAD: Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, George Harrison, Elvis Presley, Ronnie Barker and Charlie Chaplin.
Johnny Cash, Journey, Whitesnake, Ben E King, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Sam Cooke, Fleetwood Mac, Styx, Sad Cafe, Survivor, REO Speedwagon, Eddie Money, Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes, Emmylou Harris, Alliance, and oh so much more!
Walk The Line, Stand By Me, The Breakfast Club, The Lost Boys & The Frighteners would be my top 5.
The Simpsons, Friends, Sex & The City, most documentaries... not such a huge fan of ordinary UK TV.
Talisman - Stephen King & Peter Straub, Black House - Stephen King & Peter Straub, Lucky Man - Michael J Fox & Cash by Johnny Cash.
My heroes... well the first 2 obvious ones, would be my Grandads, both of whom are no longer with us. I am proud of all my family, and it's only when they have gone you realise what a profound effect they had (and also, turning 18 the year after my Dad's Dad died, I have grown up much more, and realised what parts of my family have made me the man I am...) My heroes outside of this will nearly all be musical! Johnny Cash - what do I need to say? This man did it all, and sang about every aspect of doing it... his music is my spirituality, he can change my mood with the plucking of one geetar string, and move me to tears with one note of THAT voice! Marcie (Mark) Free - She has also touched me greatly with her voice. From the days before her gender re-alignment, in King Kobra right through to Mark Free's Long Way To Love (in my top 5 albums EVER!), her voice crackled with emotion through everything, and it's only now reading interviews and such, that I see there really were so many emotions going into her work because of what she went through behind the music. Journey & Whitesnake, 2 bands with 2 very distinct sounds (mainly due to the voices, but Neal Schon & his guitar sound IS Journey and David Coverdale has had some of rock's finest surrounding him in Whitesnake!) The music of both these bands will always make me think, make me dream of what's to come in my life (and what I hope will come!), and lift my mood. 2 that must be heard for you lot out there to understand: David Coverdale - Into The Light and Journey - Frontiers (but Escape & Raised On Radio feature more favourites, there was much more emotion in Frontiers... aggression & hurt come through strongly! But then there's the overcoming of it!)
