the Love will not betray you. but we all, at times, betray the Love. we do this by not being who we are. there are a myriad of reasons why this occurs: the expectations of those we care for, the fear of ridicule, simply forgetting... these are reasons, but they cannot forever be used as excuses. surely we all reach a place where it no longer serves us in this life to walk blindly. you may now be reading this, knowing this is a truth you share. i have stumbled many times on the path to universal Love, and i suspect i shall stumble many more times as i walk. but i have committed that i shall not stop until i'm there. it is true i could be there just by surrendering to the realization that i've arrived. we all have this option but few of us use it. i am no exception, for while such surrender to the Love and to the universe seems like the most exquisite of fantasies, alas it is still a fantasy to me. i have not yet fully grokked surrender as the word has been used in this case. so i keep walking, knowing that surrender will come to me when my heart and mind are ready to receive it. this is not faith- faith is how we mask our fear and hope for the best. i have been faithful, and i wish to stop- no this is not faith: it's gnosis; it's accepting your fear and transcending it. it's observing your faults and trying to correct them. it's thinking upon your betrayals (against others, but mostly yourself), and forgiving them. it's purification. it's the Love known as so many names by so many people. before there was nirvana, self-actualization, the christ or enlightenment to attain, there was the place from which you came and to which you will return. there is no name great enough to contain it, but, as you may have noticed, i call it the Love. it is, and we are. namaste
