In 1987 a star was born. Jay Ice, the UK’s up and coming R&B singer/soon to be sensation grew up listening to the likes of SWV and Tevin Campbell, The Sounds of Blackness and En Vogue. Born in 1987 and heavily influenced by music, his eyes were on Boys II Men. “I used to sing along to some of the greatest artists of that time, Shai, H-Town and Jodeci among others.” As he grew up he became greatly affected by the likes of Dru Hill and the Excellent Entertainment skills of Usher Raymond. When asked what was made him choose music, Ice Said “The turning point was at the end of year nine. My teacher said I had an ear for music, and I always enjoyed it. Some how I always got 99% even when I thought I didn’t have a clue".
As Ice matured into a young man, he began to sharpen his skills as a writer and a producer, heavily influenced by the likes of Timberland and later The Neptunes. Harmonies also became a very important thing to him, "I used to harmonies with my favorite Artists instead of jus singing along", he said when asked about his ability to harmonize with almost anyone so easily.
In 2004 Jay Ice joined Hip Hop/R&B group Ice Cold, affiliated with Nitro Music. Two years later in 2006 Jay Ice Hooked up with CEO of Code 4 Entertainment; Kyran, whom he teamed up with to create the production group Blaque Pheonix. So what’s next for Mr. Ice? “I’m currently looking for a manager to help me progress my career and push me further into the industry that I know I’m ready for.” Well, we look forward to a truly amazing year from the new comer, 'straight outta East London', so look out...Or as Ice would say...'Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground!

Sounds Like: A fusion of R&B and Soul... Some say Musiq, some say Donell...I say i'm just me. Expect to hear a lot more from Ice. I'm staying on my grind and bringing something fresh and new for the UK. Just wanna take a moment to thank everyone who has been down with me, following me each and every step of the way supporting me. You all know who you are! Some of you have been there from day one, some of you filled me with your encouraging and inspiring words jus yesterday but I thank you all the same. I will never forget any of you and I have nothing but love and respect for you all. Most importantly I wanna thank Jesus Christ for giving me the God given gifts I possess... Without him, anything I have done would not have been truly possible and I want to say here and now.... Let it be known, not everything in my life has been glorifying The Lord... I think its time to make a change. 2006... The year where its all gonna happen! Keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground...
