Cortez are one of the most exciting and talented acts in Scotland at the moment. The Rock 4-piece regularly thrill crowds in and around their home town of Glasgow which is one of Britain's busiest and most thrilling music scenes. Having played in the cities most popular venues and the most infamous clubs including Glasgow's Barrowlands and The Garage and supported the likes of Wishbone Ash and Mohair with storming sets in Britain’s most prestigious venues like The Cavern in Liverpool and Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms, Cortez continue to grow from strength to strength as the fan base increases.The Cortez sound is derived from a colourful mix of influences which have shaped the band's sound into what they play today. Their sound is rooted around classic rock bands such as Aerosmith, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin, whilst adding their own touch and by all accounts it's working.Recently signed to Independent Scottish label, Homeland Music, Cortez have now established themselves as one of the must see Scottish acts of this year.
