About Me

Trailer of stuff we've done! Go on and press the play!
OUR PRESS RELEASE THAT SOUNDS REALLY IMPRESSIVE SO WE CAN GET SOME INTERESTING WORK Since the formation of the group in 2001, Del 9 have been at the forefront of the underground animation scene in Dublin, and have been key figures in the rise of the international bedroom animator scene. Their DIY aesthetic in music videos for local musicians such as The Jimmy Cake and The Frames attracted internationally known music makers such as Max Tundra, Luke Vibert and Caribou. Their work has been commercially released on the label Warp Records alongside the work of Chris Cunningham, and a recent DVD of all their video work for Caribou has been released on Leaf Records in Europe and Domino in the U.S.Del 9 started small, moving their studio from bedrooms to spare rooms. For 2 years they lived and worked in the same house in Marino. In 2004 they moved into premises to a studio space on Liffey Street. To celebrate the creative huddle, the Caribou DVD release was named after the Dublin 3 locale of its creation Marino The Videos. Not happy with sticking to animation, Del 9 have consistently experimented with other mediums, combining live action and animation, making childrens television for The Den, performing live visuals at massive warehouse gigs, curating and organising digital film festivals, holding workshops for kids, creating interactive installations, designing and printing t-shirts, producing video work for kids theatre (The Day I Swapped my Dad for 2 Goldfish) and more avant-garde works (Daniel Figgis Tamper).Del 9 are currently working with on ideas for new films, TV series while continuing to offer first class post production services and facilities.
