The one that comes to mind is my Grandpa Spohn. He had an engaging personality that drew people to himself. His heart was huge and would do anything for someone even though he was partly crippled and had little money. He overcame great odds - was told he would never walk again after an accident, and he indeed walked again; was told he only had six months to live and he lived 5-6 years. He was a fighter.
