Born into a family of musicians, I was fortunate to have been exposed to all kinds of music throughout my childhood. After years of banging around on pots and pans (cookie tins were my favorite) as well as plunking around on the piano, I began taking piano lessons in second grade, which I discontinued after 2 years. I picked up the trumpet in 4th grade, and played that through high school. In 6th grade, I bought a drum kit and played that for a while, then moved on to guitar in 9th grade and finally bass in 10th grade. Bass became my primary instrument and has remained so to this day. I've played in numerous bands over the years, from the ol' days of high school, jamming in my basement to my college years in both Atlanta and Vermont. Some bands I've played with include Hirst (formerly Wallaby Crossing), Bubblin' Upstream, That Toga Band, Golden Key, the Shane Hall Blues Band, Dr. Nefarious and the Scientific Method, Bareback, and Woolsey. I moved to the Boston area last fall, and now am playing with several bands, including the Sand Dollar Four, Jaime Lynn Hart, Nicole Mitchell and the Fuzzy Bunch. I have had the pleasure of performing in a number of great venues and played with some phenomenal musicians.
