Sometimes I see life as a Pop Up Video.

About Me

I am a South African American. I value my family & friends immeasurably & enjoy making memories with them. A picture is certainly worth a thousand words, but when that picture is captured in your mind it is worth a novel. I enjoy a spontaneous existence living to have an exciting life filled with people I love & doing things that the average Joe most probably will not do. Life is too short to say “next time” or wondering what will go wrong instead of enjoying the moment & learning from your experiences. You will never get what you are looking for if you don’t: ask, work hard for it, put yourself in situations that might be awkward, testing, stressful or you can’t control, make sacrifices, network, have a good support group and pray very hard! Even if you do all these things you still might not get what you want, but God may be giving you a valuable lesson in life. Hopefully I will be learning valuable lessons as well as realizing my dream…

My Interests

I like to do anything outdoors. Tennis, scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, boating, camping, cycling, and for crazy split personality side of me, acting...
create your own visited states map or check out these Google Hacks.

I'd like to meet:

Albert Einstein, Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandella, my great grandparents.

Music:

I like any music really if it has good lyrics or just a good beat. Generally I tend to stay away from Country more than anything else.

Movies:

I love movies that make you think. My favorites, though, are period and fantasy movies. I always think what it would have been like living in another time, and a movie is about as close to that as you can get. People that have the ability to write a book like Lord of the Rings or make a movie like Star Wars are inspiring and have amaizing imaginations.

Television:

I hardly watch too much now days, but my favorites are 24, Prison Break and I Shouldn't Be Alive. Oh, House is good as well.

Books:

Same as movies, anything that makes you think. Period novels, the classics, plays, suspense, drama. Anything that has a twist or keeps you guessing. Best non-fiction book I have read so far, Night by Ellie Weisel.

Heroes:

I hope I will have the opportunity to make a big enough impact on someones life to be one someday. For me though, heroes are people who put their wellbeing at risk or use their disability in order to help someone or make an impact on our lives. My parents are definately at the top of my list of my heroes!
