Family, friends, sport (watching not playing - as if!!!)etc.. I travelled for the first time in 2005 so I would love French and Italian lessons and hope to go back there soon.. Would love to learn to dance properly too, belly dancing, salsa, pole dancing, latin, ballroom... whatever. i wouldn't mind learing how to cook either.. I mean I can get by but i'd never be able to throw together a decent dinner party!! (Do beer and pringles count)
The man of my dreams!!! Failing that... Thats a toughie, hhhhmmmmm. Oprah Winfrey - cause she's Oprah, Johnny Depp - I love the way he talks, Tom Cruise - to see if he really is a knob, Kanye West - my holiday would not have been the same without 'Golddigger', Jonathan Cainer - i have been reading my stars for years and he's so not right, Kate Hudson - she's my favourite actress, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Johhny Knoxville and Jack Black - how funny would it be, the waiter I met in Paris - hot to trot, if you could meet dead people I would like to meet Elvis - who wouldn't.
I love music but I was never really into it when I was younger.. I was always singing and dancing around the house till my brothers told me I was no good - bastards, but funny!! I have only ever been to one concert - Pearl Jam (the Yeild concert in Melbourne.. my friend bought me a ticket for Christmas god bless her) and i've only ever been to one music festival!! I went to 'Peaches and Cream' up on the Murray back in 2001 - wicked fun. I love music in general. Anything I can get my feet tapping to or just chill out to. From the cheesy top 40 to the classics - on any given day you'll catch me listening to Pussycat dolls, Rhianna, Teddy Geyger, Bernard Fanning/ Powderfinger, Kanye, Justin, Nelly (the boy and the girl), Eminem, Elvis, Beatles & Elton John. I'll only dance to musice from the 70's and 80's :) Love a bit of rock, country, r'n'b, rap, hip hop - everything actually.
I am such a movie buff. Is it sad that they know me by name down at the Video shop?? I know it is, i shouldn't have said it!! My favourites are those sporting movies that give you tingles when the underdog oh so predictably gets over the line eg Remember the Titans, Field of Dreams, Friday night lights, The ringer (hilarious). I like everything from crappy high school flicks (cluless/mean girls) to horrors (Saw/Hostel), action (Bourne Identity) limited sci fi (i can't think of one), Fantasy (is Pirates of the Carribean a fantasy??) romantic comedies (The Notebook) war movies (saving Private Ryan/Black Hawk down) histroy (Gladiator/Braveheart) futuristic (sort of in the future - i liked V for Vendetta) old movies (gone with the wind and a good saturday arvo cowboy and indian flick) and based on true story movies are always a winner... Anything goes really.. Obviously!!!
I hate to admit it.. But I do have a bit of a thing for TV. I am so easily entertained. I really like Boston Legal, Greys Anatomy, House, Prison Break, NCIS, Desperate Houswives.. gotta love those americans.. It could be worse, I could have said Passions and the Bold and the Beautiful, thats only when I'm having a sick day!! I do have a thing for McLeods Daughters (must be some female genetic predisposition I have). Reality TV is always good value.. Mainly the Amazing Race and Survivor (the US ones) i'll watch anything you put infront me.. I hate those uplate quizshows that you can only avoid if you're in bed before midnight, I can't draw myself away from it.. I am mesmerized by their ability to think up such obscure answers to the most mundane questions.. i love the Simpsons, South Park, Trailor Park, Bro Town and any other crass cartoon/lifestyle program.
I love to read. Books about history, law and life in general. Bit of a sucker for romantic comedies, anything Irish and books by John Grisham, Paullina Simmons, Marian Keyes, Richard North Patterson and Bryce Courtney. If I wrote down all the authors I liked, It would take up more room than the TV and movie section combined, so i'll refrain... for now.. Except to say that I am a magazine freak.. I literally buy every trashy magazine each week. If it gets published I buy it!!!
It's a cliche to say my family but I really do think that my mum and brothers are absolute legends.. I don't know what constitutes being a hero, but they are mine.. I forget what movie it's from (a baseball one i think) but i like a line that goes "Heroes get remembered but legends never die"...
