OLLIE JOE

OLLIE JOE IS RECORDING AN E.P !OLLIE JOE is a power pop band from france. Created in 2005 by Yaco who asked his cousin Marphise ,who just started to play drums, to play with him (Yaco just started playing guitar). Later on they asked Leo to join with her piano and finally the asked Barry, a good friend of Yaco, to buy a bass guitar and to come play with them. Yaco's songs fit perfectly in the ambiance that the four musicians share. everyone in the band see him self trhought the songs and so, everyone plays its best.In February of 2006 Intellectric record their first demo called "the World is a Fool". In this demo you could find four tracks (The Line, Someone Else, Corners and John) all calm and soft songs with a major work on the Piano and voice melodys. The demo, once released on the band's myspace, put them on the map and "The Line" was the most appriciate song. After a series of concerts in Paris and one in Amiens, Intellectric record their second demo in septembre of 2006 called "Tell me what Rock is". On this second demo you could find three all new track (Closure, Busy Being Born and Cookie 55), those new songs were a lot more agressive than the old one. Yaco tried to make people dance in the concerts and so, he composed fasterm, more upbeat songs. And it work, after the demo was released trought their myspace, people started dancing and jumping around at their concerts. Closure became the new favorite song. In early 2007 Intellectric started playing in bigger concert room (La Fleche d'or, le Gibus and le New Morning...) and the recording of a third demo begins in septembre 2007 with four all new tracks. in the third demo the band tried to mix the nice melodys of the first demo and the energy of the second one. In the begining of 2008 the band started working with the label Opera Music, a few weeks later the new drummer Felix and then the new bass player Enzo were add to the group.
