Well known for his relentless drop of the dime freestyle ablity, smooth tone, and vocally acrobatic "assault rifle" style, Stranga (born Dion Jackson) has always delievered vivid depictions of the world as he's seen it. In 2000 he was first heard on the compilation "Fresh outta juvy Hall". From the highly anti-government smash "Free Speech" to the very personal "Better Dayz" and "Peep Game", Stranga let it be known that he is a force unlike no other. A few set backs caused a near 2 year hiatus, but in 2002 he hooked up with Menace Man and CEO records. Their collab single, "Talk Now", which clearly shows Stranga's freestyle ability, production skills, and lyrical talent, was a instant classic with all who heard it. After more bumps in his road of life, Jackson, entered into a verbal agreement with Big Redd, ceo of FoReal Productions. He then begain working on his album "Aint No Rules". Life was not easy as it caused set back after set back for the young artist. 2005 posed better fortune for Stranga. After meeting Porky, a well known local producer, Stranga was introduced to Cel Brown and Dub da Don. After listening to an exibition of his freestyle capabilities, Stranga was formed into the group Born to Ball consisting of Dub, Marv, and Whodi. The group has opened up concerts for artists such as Chamillionaire, E40, Sarkastik, an others. "Soulja At War", Stranga's current realese, has had many great reviews. The album is a collction of works that all address different struggles an aspects of his life. The deep basslines and riding melodies are a perfect blend with the laid back voice "that makes u wanna listen". "Everybody Wanna Know", the album's single, touches deep and brings you emotionally in tune with the man his self. Now working on his 3rd album, Stranga has many plans for his furture and it would seem nothing is going to stop him.
