Regardless if they live in the hood, the ghetto, the slum, the burbs or the country they find a way to gain the right type of attention and utilize the strong and weak points of their area to help show the world what its like to be them and a person from were their from. Zikki was born Thomas Carr, on April 29th, 1988 in San Diego California. Due to his father being military he never stayed in one place for to long. Were Zikki is fron isn't were to many others are from. His hometown can be thought of with the mentioning of names like 2-pac, Notorious B.I.G, Big L, Rakim, Grafh, Joe Budden and Talib Kwali. You could also get an idea of his home town when mentioning names like Jay-Z, T.I, Lil' Wayne, The Game, Bun B, Tech N9ne along with countless others. Your probably wondering how Zikki could be from such a place that could be thought of by just mentioning a few names and the confusion has you asking yourself were is this guy from? As a child he turned to the only thing that stayed with him through out his life regardless of all the constant moving he did. He feels born into the culture of Hip-Hop and and Rap music and learned young that it wouldn't up and leave him so in the same respect he wouldn't up and leave Hip-Hop. It started out as just something that kept him grounded and was a familiar place he could go whenever he wanted, Then in 1999 he decided he wanted to pursue a career in Hip-Hop. Since then Zikki has taylor made a unique flow of his own, with witty punchlines and metaphors whenever he feels their necessary. Also, He has the unique wordplay to express a descriptive story through his words that has often been compared to watching a movie with your ears. There is no limit that Zikki can be held back to. The mainstream music scene has turned to dance and club music over the last couple of years and Zikki has found it in him to be able to create tracks with the same up tempo beats, Catchy Hooks and bridges and still keep his Hip-Hop roots shining through.
Zikki has been designing his own graphics for the past 3 years for promotional adds, Mixtape Covers, Album covers and Press Kits. He taught himself how to engineer his own tracks to a quality that when played on the radio, it sounds crisp and clear. He has been duplicating and distributing his own product throughout his whole career with the old fashioned Kinkos technique, but making it look like it was worth taking home and listening to. He writes his own music and also writes music for singers and assists others in need of help with their writing. He has been performing since 2004 live on stage and freestyle battles since he started doing music in 99. Zikki has helped a lot of artists get on their feet in the time of his career, He has a soft spot for artist development when he eye balls the potential in somebody.
So with the versatility to adapt to any climate and relate to people who feel like nothing could relate to them. He is an all around, with no hesitation Musical Artist and takes pride in what he does with a load of passion and drive. As a solo artist he limits himself to nothing less then being a successful musician. Currently on the look for a reliable manager and trustworthy and hard working attorney, he plans to flip the game upside down and bring the passion and feeling back into the music that has been recently pronounced as deceased. Some say Hip-Hops dead, but Zikki knows better. With the spine compared to a mic stand, Hands of a turn table, the heart of every dead or forgotten hip-hop artist, and the voice that sounds natural on the microphone.
