From the heart of St. Andrew, Jamaica, at about knee high,Andrew (drupus) Nicholson has been in love with music. Virtually growing up in his Father's music collection, spanning an era of about 4 decades and several genres, Dru came to appreciate foundations in Soul, R&B, Ska,Rock Steady,Funk,Disco,and Calypso.Throughout his teen years, he was drawn to the fascinating world of being a Disc Jockey. Hanging on to the shirt tails of his older cousins and friends he'd get to hang out with likes of Jamaican sound systems and studios like HMV, Syndicate, and Guardian and Mixing Lab. In the late nineties, drupus migrated to Florida for tertiary studies in Aviation where he became involved with Secret Service Ent. also from Jamaica. Here, drupus began to explore his passion further, developing his own talents of being a DJ. With the foundation of his younger years, and listening to various DJ greats throughout the caribbean and the U.S. drupus soon became well rounded for his era and situation, though he'd always have the most love and respect for the music he grew up on, now collectively known as "old school classics". After finishing college, dru went to reside in the North East, the mecca for about 80% of his favourite types of music. Here, Dru was able to access the depth of House, Dance music and Freestyle, while mainaining the balance of expression with modern day dance hall and top 40 radio hits.In late 2006, Dru and a few friends from college in Florida came together to form a Entertainment group named Carib Jam
