Well here is a short synopsis of my life. I was born in Honolulu Hawaii. My father was in the military and moved the family back to north Alabama to a quiet little town called Gadsden when I was two. It is because of my father that I developed a passion for the outdoors. During my high school years at Westbrook Christian I began pursuing a new passion and dream, tennis. I played in high school, went and played at Gadsden State for two years and then got recruited to come to Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. During my first year at Belhaven I tore my shoulder and had to take a medical redshirt. To say the least, my tennis career went downhill after that. I decided to run X-Country which I was more of the mascott. I have now been in Jackson for five years and worked in everything from a camping store, Buffalo Peak Outfitters to now at the MS Secretary of States Office in Elections. I am now learning that the reason I am in Jackson is only because of God. I am nowhere close to where I want to be but I do know God has allowed me to go through everything possible so that I can help those who are hurting. The only sure and true thing in life is God. My Young Life leader in high school Phil Williams once said ," God is so proud of you, like a father he has your picture in His wallet to show to everyone". I hope one day to be the Christian that I am striving towards. It is definately a process. I have always walked to the beat of my own drum. I am not like anyone else...I am my own person. I am like others in one way though...I am full of sin...we all are. If I can say one thing it would be to strive to take one step closer to God every day. We all are going to fail...look at me, I am the prime example of that but I am trying. Caedmons Call once said," this world has nothing for me but this world has everything". This is so true...I am so sick of what this world has to offer...nothing comes from this but pain. I hope that I can help whoever reads this to know God more. I am not perfect, I am still struggling with my own deamons but I do want more. If I can help anyone with anything please let me know. We are designed to be more than we could ever imagine. So take a deep breath, pour a cup of coffee and go sit outside. I know this is where I can feel God's hand the most. Everything will be ok...no worries!
