Elnino Cinema is a film studio based out of Guelph, a small rural town in Southern Ontario.
Started in the year 2000, the company was founded by Chad Archibald and Philip Carrer who wrote and directed the companies first feature film "Desperate Souls". With the help of Toronto based producer Pete Soltesz, the film was picked up by Lions Gate and Alliance Atlantis. This film introduced writer/actor Ryan Barret who is now a prominent figure in Elnino Cinema and Gerrit Seepers who plays an active role behind scene and on screen.Having their first feature picked up by major studios in their early twenties, they recognized their ability to successfully make a full length film for no budget. Their praise in the local community brought much attention. While the film scene in the small town of Guelph blossomed, a third filmmaker joined the two pack, Martin Buzora. Working once again with producer/actor Pete Soltesz and producer Michael Chudnovsky, Chad Archibald and Philip Carrer wrote and directed their follow up film "Kill".Not limiting itself as just a film house or horror movie movie production company, Elnino Cinema has shot music videos that have appeared on Much Music, directorial gigs on the Discovery Channel and worked with other various film houses across Canada.
Elnino Cinema will always bring visual entertainment for film, television and music.
