About Me

I love my friends! My life is blessed because of their presence!

If I Ruled the World
If I ruled the world,
Every day would be the first day of spring.
Every heart would have a new song to sing.
And we'd sing
Of the joy each morning would bring.
If I ruled the world,
Every man would be as free as a bird.
Every voice would be a voice to be heard.
Take my word
We would treasure each day that occurred.
My world
Would be a beautiful place
Where we would weave such wonderful dreams.
My world
Would wear a smile on his face
Like the man in the moon has when the moon beams.
If I ruled the world,
Every man would say the world was his friend.
There'd be happiness that no man could end.
No my friend, not if I ruled the world.
Every head would be held up high,
There'd be sunshine in everyone's sky,
If the day ever dawned
When I ruled the world!

Heroes:

My mother, who despite her trials and tribulations in her own personal life, raised my sister and I in the lap of comfort and love! There was nothing my mother would not give of herself for her children, and that's why I am the awesome person I am! I love you, Mom!
Celine Dion, who is phenomenal! She stands for everything life offers that I believe in: she is a dreamer; she is a singer who has unshakeable integrity with her instrument; she achieved the biggest successes of her career in a second language (English), as she is a native French speaker; she sings in 7 languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, and Latin); finally, she loves someone that most people don't approve of, a man 26 years her senior. As gay man, I totally respect and admire Celine for being true to love.
Ghandi, who simply said, "There will be peace in India," and made it happen by who he was being.
Karen Silkwood, an employee of a nuclear facility in the early 1970's in Oklahoma. She was a stand for nuclear safety for her self, her coworkers, and her state. She found information that her employers, Kerr-McGee, were producing and covering up faulty uranium and plutonium fuel rods that were being sent to a breeder reactor in Washington. In November of 1974, as she drove to secret meeting with a writer from the New York Times, she got into a car accident and died. None of her documents were ever found.
Tina Turner, who endured years of abuse and torment, in an attempt to stay true to love. She found Buddhism and the chant 'Nam Myoho Renge Kyo', which changed her life, as well as mine.
Pedro from the Real World San Francisco. He died of AIDS during the three months he was filming the Real World. He taught me that love is possible, no matter what your circumstances. And he gave me the will to love and be loved in return. Thank you, Pedro.
Vina Tiongson, my friend and counterpart of transformation. She was a stand for me getting my life back from self-destruct. She did it so effortlessly, much like an angel. Thank you Vina, I love you.
Any addict in recovery... congratulations on your recovery! It only gets better. Please hang on! I do not want to lose ONE MORE person to drugs! Your life is worth the temporary hell of recovering and living life on its own terms! Much love and props to you.
