I WAS BORN MARCH 15, IN DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA. MY MOTHER, FATHER, I MOVED AROUND A LOT. WE MOVED TO MANY DIFFERENT STATES SUCH AS RICHMOND, VA AND MABELTON, GA. IN 1985 WE MOVED BACK TO NORTH CAROLINA. WE LIVED IN RURAL AREAS, USUSALLY IN HOMES WITHOUT RUNNING WATER. THINGS WERE PRETTY ROUGH LIVING WITH AN ALCOHOLIC FATHER. HE WOULD SPEND HIS WHOLE PAY CHECK ON ALCOHOL AND THAT FORCED MY MOM TO WORK TWO JOBS TO MAKE ENDS MEET. THERE WAS ALSO LOTS OF FIGHTS GOING ON.
I WAS INTRODUCED TO HIP-HOP IN 1984 BY MY AUNTIE. SHE USED TO PLAY THE FAT BOY'S RECORDS AND SHE ALSO ROCKED RUN-DMC RECORDS. AT FIRST I WAS NOT INTO HIP-HOP...I LOVED SOUL MUSIC LIKE MARVIN GAYE AND MICHEAL JACKSON. IT WAS NOT UNTIL 1989 THAT I WANTED TO BE A MC. MY FATHER WAS KILLED IN A HEAD ON CAR COLLISION IN 1991. I WAS LOST IN SPACE AND I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
WHEN I FIRST HEARD “THE HUMPTY DANCEâ€, BY DIGITAL UNDERGROUND, I WAS INTRIGUED BY WHAT I HEARD. I KNEW RIGHT THEN AND THERE THAT THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO DO. I STARTED BATTLING CATS AT SCHOOL IN THE HALLWAYS. IT STARTED OUT WITH A FEW HEADS AND THEN TURNED INTO A EVERYDAY SPECTACLE. I NEVER LOST A BATTLE AT THE CYPHERS IN SCHOOL. IT WAS THEN THAT MY MOM BOUGHT ME A KAREOKE MACHINE. I STARTED MAKING TAPES AND GIVING THEM OUT AT SCHOOL.
I CREATED A BUZZ THROUGHOUT THE 1990’S. LATER I FORMED A GROUP WITH MY FAM CALLED
THE ILLTYPES (C-ROY, KILLA KILL, BUDDAH, PROTAGE, L-SAY). WE GOT JERKED BY A PROMOTER AFTER WE DID NUMEROUS SHOWS THROUGHOUT NORTH CAROLINA. THE SHOWS LED TO A AUDITION AT THE APOLLO THEATER FOR AMATEUR NIGHT. WE WERE EACHED JERKED OUT OF $100 A PIECE AND THE MEMBERS WENT THEIR SEPARATE WAYS.
IN 2002 I MET STONEY BLENDZ, HE WAS A LOCAL PRODUCER AND ENGINEER. HE HEARD ME RHYME AND GAVE ME THE CHANCE TO RECORD MY FIRST ALBUM CALLED “I DON’T EXISTâ€. WE CURRENTLY HAVE EIGHT ALBUMS ON THE SHELF. I AM ALSO A MEMBER OF THE WARRIORZ MOVEMENT OUTTA ATLANTIC CITY NEW JERSEY (SHOUT OUT TO THEM SOUTH JERZ NIGGAZ). I AM STILL HITTING OPEN MIC NIGHTS AND SHARPENING MY SKILLS ON THE MIC. WHEN YOU LOVE DOING THIS, YOU WILL DO IT WITH OR WITHOUT A RECORD DEAL. I JUST WANNA PROVE THAT ALL NIGGAS FROM THE DIRTY SOUTH DO NOT RAP THE SAME. IT AIN’T JUST BLING AND CARS, MONEY AND FLASH IS A BIG PART OF SOUTHERN CULTURE AND IT IS BEING REPRESENTED, BUT IT IS ALSO A EVERYDAY STRUGGLE, AND HENDERSON HAS A STORY TO TELL, EVERYTHING THAT GLITTERS AIN’T GOLD. I DO NOT KNOCK THAT BECAUSE TO SEE BLACK MILLIONAIRES IS A BEAUTIFUL THING, BUT I WANNA SHOW THAT RAW LYRICS EXSIST IN THE STICKS.
WE HAVE RELEASED THE WARNING SHOT MIXTAPE. IT FEATURES PRODUCTION FROM G-RATED AKA UTAH’S MOST WANTED, JACKLE HYDE OF ROYAL FLASH MUSIC OUTTA GERMANY, MR. PORTER, DJ COMPLEXX,DJ FABB, AND OF COURSE STONEY BLENDZ. IT WAS RELEASED IN MARCH 2008, FOLLOWING A SOLO ALBUM CALLED SIN-CITY THAT DROPPED IN MARCH 2008, BOTH ARE AVALIBLE ON DATPIFF.COM FOR FREE DOWNLOAD, FOLLOWED BY A BEST OF DEEN SMIFF ALBUM, THE UNDERDOG MIXTAPE, GET USED TO HEARING DSE, NIGGAZ IS STARVING!!!!
