About Me

All quotes below are from: *****So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.*****It's strange because sometimes, I read a book, and I think I am the people in the book.*****I am very interested and fascinated by how everyone loves each other, but no one really likes each other.*****Sam and Patrick looked at me. And I looked at them. And I think they knew. Not anything specific really. They just knew. And I think that's all you can ever ask from a friend.*****I walked over to the hill where we used to go and sled. There were a lot of little kids there. I watched them flying. Doing jumps and having races. And I thought that all those little kids are going to grow up someday. And all of those little kids are going to do the things that we do. And they will all kiss someone someday. But for now, sledding is enough. I think it would be great if sledding were always enough, but it isn't.*****It's kind of like when you look at yourself in the mirror and you say your name. And it gets to a point where none of it seems real. Well, sometimes, I can do that, but I don't need an hour in front of a mirror. It just happens very fast, and things start to slip away. And I just open my eyes, and I see nothing. And then I start to breathe really hard trying to see something, but I can't. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it scares me.*****I even made her a mix tape and left it at the grave. I hope you do not think that makes me weird.*****I don't want to start thinking again. Not like I have this last week. I can't think again. Not ever again.*****I don't know if you've ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That's why I'm trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.*****Girls are weird, and I don't mean that offensively. I just can't put it any other way.*****I always thought it would be fun to have 'glory days.'*****If somebody likes me, I want them to like the real me, not what they think I am. And I don't want them to carry it around inside. I want them to show me, so I can feel it too. I want them to be able to do whatever they want around me*****I just need to know that someone out there listens and understands and doesn't try to sleep with people even if they could have. I need to know that these people exist.*****Maybe these are my glory days, and I'm not even realizing it because they don't involve a ball.*****After that, I couldn't believe that Sam actually got me a present because I honestly thought that the "I love you" was it.*****Charlie, we accept the love we think we deserve.*****Incidentally, I have one cavity, and as much as my dentist asks me to, I just can't bring myself to floss.*****I know things get worse before they get better, but this is a worse that feels too big.*****And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.*****

Music:

Ppff... I don't even remember the last time I bought or downloaded music. Somewhere down the line, I became one of those people that just stopped listening to music. I don't know how it happened. I still listen to it every once in a while, but what happened to me?

Movies:

True Romance; Airborne; Spaceballs; The Last Time I Commited Suicide; Punch-Drunk Love; Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; Zoolander; Fight Club; Donnie Darko; Airplane; Say Anything; Pan's Labyrinth; Solaris; Sleepers; Batman Begins; Children of Men; Full Metal Jacket; Roger Dodger; Young Guns 1 and 2; Tigerland; Beautiful Girls; Bourne Identity (Supremecy was, meh); Roger Doger; Clerks (1 & 2); Shaun of the Dead; all 3 Mighty Ducks Movies (even though I've never seen all of the 3rd one yet); The Game; Kuffs; Serenity; Bobby; Mallrats; Hot Shots part 1 and Part Deux; 2001: A Space Odyssey; and a crap load more I'm drawing a blank on. Of course I will leave you with, all the Star Wars movies. Yes... I said all of them.

Television:

Heroes; Battlestar Galactica; Entourage; The Wonder Years; Kids in the Hall; Newsradio; Arrested Development; 3rd Rock from the Sun; Freaks and Geeks; Futurama; Dead Like Me; Adult Swim shows (such as Sealab 2021; Space Ghost from Coast to Coast; Home Movies; Aqua Teen Hunger Force...) Quantum Leap (Scott Bakula is the man); Greg the Bunny; Boston Legal; Growing Pains; Boy Meets World; The Daily Show; Simpsons; Family Guy; The Young Ones; Who's Line is it Anyway (the British version); The Deadliest Catch; Mythbusters; South Park; Conan; Scrubs; That 70's Show; Three's Company; and I'm sure so much more that I'm drawing a blank on. But of course, we can't forget the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey games. Gotta watch them. Or playoff hockey in general.

Books:

Neil Gaiman books (American Gods; Neverwhere;) and comics (Sandman); Mike Carey comics (Lucifer; Crossing Midnight); Brian K. Vaughan comics (Y the Last Man; Ex Machina); Dave Eggers (A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius; You Shall Know Our Velocity!); Jonathon Safran Foer (Everything is Illuminated; Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close); Jeff Lindsay's "Dexter" Series; Arthur C. Clarke's "Space Odyssey" series; Douglas Adams' "Hitchiker's Guide" series ("So Long and Thanks for all the Fish" being my favorite); Robert Ludlum's "Bourne" trilogy; Chip Kidd (Cheese Monkeys); David Schickler (Kissing in Manhattan); Tom Robbins (Jitterbug Perfume); Kurt Vonnegut (Slaughterhouse-Five); Michael Chabon (Mysteries of Pittsburgh); Jeffrey Eugenides (The Virgin Suicides); Tim Dorsey (Triggerfish Twist); Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower); Shel Silverstein (The Missing Piece Meets the Big O). Some other comic writers, Geoff Johns; Paul Dini; Brian Azzarello; Grant Morrison; Kurt Busiek; Mark Waid; Brad Meltzer. Of course, I can't forget to mention pretty much anything Star Wars.

Heroes:

Rick Moranis! He's a GOD!!! (and my best friend, of course)

"Superpowers and Gravy Fries (gravy on the side)"

A little while ago, for some reason, I thought of a superpower that I wish I had. It's rather simple, and really wouldn't be useful outside of me. The power is basically the ability to erase certain p...

I got nothing.

One of my perks at my job is that at least once a year (at most twice) during our shift change, we're granted an unofficial bonus vacation week. See, every 4 months our schedule changes. From one end ...

"Driving on 9" (I wish)

Sometimes I get into this mood. It's a very specific mood, without a specific description. It's been a while since I've been in this mood. Now that can mean 2 months, or 2 years. I don't know. But it'...

I just finished watching a rerun episode of Conan no less than a 60 seconds ago. It was a good episode. Al Gore was on promoting the release of "An Inconvienant (sp?) Truth" into theaters, and Paul Gi...
